5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS HOT AND SPICY
If you like the Hot Boy$ and the OLD Cash Money, you would absolutely love this album. I know it didn't come out when the Hot Boys were still together, but it is smokin'. I knew it was hot when I heard the first track. I love this album! Another hot buy and must have is Juvenile's 400 Degreez and B.G.'s Chopper City in the Ghetto.

FANS OF THE RAWEST CASHMONEY ALBUMS WILL BE DISAPOINTED! THE PRODUCTION IS GOOD BUT HAS BEEN RE-DONE RECENTLY WHILE THE LYRICS WERE RECORDED 3 YEARS AGO AND U CAN TELL!!! JUVENILE AND BG ARE THE STARS OF THE SHOW AS USUAL, IT IS DEFINATLEY WORTH BUYING BUT DONT EXPECT THE ALBUM THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED IN '99. CMR 4 LIFE.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Surprised!!!!!, May 20, 2004

This review is from: Let Em Burn (Audio CD)
I was very hesitant to pick up this album for many reasons, 1- because it was obvious that Cash Money Records time was up, 2- I was almost positive that the Hot Boys had broken up so I figured this was just a bunch of junk that was thrown together.

But I always like the albums that the Hot Boys put out so I went ahead an took a BIG chance with this album and I was very surprised at how good it was. Its not a classic CD or anything but its good to put in and just ride to or to listen to when your tired of everything else.... and thats pretty much how I was feelin at the time.

So if you're a fan of Cash Money's music then I suggest you give this a listen, more than likely you'll like it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Could be Hotter, Boyz, May 10, 2003

The Hot Boyz third effort, "Let Em Burn" is no doubt an instant durty souf classic. Juve, B.G., Turk, an Lil' Wayne are at it again; spittin' bars an flossin' cars, spendin' G's an sittin' on D's. Their freshman debute "Get It How You Live!!" was only a small inkling of what they would produce in the future... Then they dropped "Guerrilla Warfare"- Did I already use instant classic? "We On Fire" will always be the Hot Boyz anthem, "Repect My Mind" & "Clear The Set" showed the world what Lil' Wayne is really capable of goin dolo brah, "I Need A Hot Girl"- are you kidding me??? Damn, to me, that LP would be impossible to follow up, but they did it with "Let Em Burn". With joints like "My Section", "Do Watcha Do", and "Young Riders", the Hot Boyz come back together under Cash Money with their top lyrical game... EVEN THOUGH GUERRILLA WARFARE WOULDA GOTTEN 5 STARS FROM ME, ya dig?

The once Cash $ Hot Boy Clique drops its 3rd cd release which was suppose 2 be out in 2000. The CD is top quality from the beats to the aggressive lyrics, and it shows on tracks "My Section", "Young Riders" (which is the best song in my opinion), "In the Hood", "Do Whatcha Do", "Three Strikes", and "Jack Who Take What". The guest appearances are even tight and the interludes aren't annoying and stupid like most of the Cash $ Cds. Each of the Hot Boys were at their prime on this cd, although I think Wayne's lyrics and rap game have fallen ( I much prefer the Wayne that was in Guerrilla Warfare and Get It How You Live). But Juve, Turk, and B.G. lay it down on fire no doubt. This is definately a CD for you if your a old Cash Money Hot Boy fan [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album!!!!, April 11, 2003

This cd is amazing!!! Every song is tight. When Juvenile, B.G., Turk, and Lil Wayne come together with Mannie Fresh on the keyboards, magic happens. Keep in mind, this album was done over 3 years ago when Cash Money was tight. In my opinion, it is just as good if not better than "Guerilla Warfare" and almost as good as "Get It How U Live!!" Every Cash Money fan needs this cd in their collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Question is::::::, March 31, 2003
By
This review is from: Let Em Burn (Audio CD)
WHEN WAS THIS MADE??? Are the Hot Boyz(s) back together?.....well likely the answer to my question is no...but man I wish they were!

When Juvenile, B.G., Lil' Wayne, and Lil' Turk come together with Mannie Fresh it's just....not classic.....but close to being one. The production is great....not because it sounds good...but because how each Hot Boy rhyme off of each other and go along with the beats.

This album is also good because it has low interludes...meaning that when there is a interlude or skit it's not as long as let's say some other CD's(Using Cam'ron Presents: The Diplomats as an example).

If your a fan of the old Cash Money then this album is a dream come true and if you just need to get away from the 50 Cent's and the Freeway's that are dominating rap for the moment then this is a CD you must get. Also if you never really heard the Hot Boys then this is definately a CD to start with....trust me....peace out folks!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY.......CASH $ HAS RETURNED!, March 26, 2003
This review is from: Let Em Burn (Audio CD)
Whew...after about a 21/2 hiatis of hits (excluding "Still Fly"), Cash $ records has returned. In what is the Hot Boys' third studio album, "Let 'Em Burn" is the Cah $ we all know from 98-early 2000. Actully, this album was slated for a 2000 release. The tracks had already been recorded. However, problems grew within the group, and it was delayed for about 21/2 years. With all of that said, this album is great!! Hardcore Mannie Fresh beats with Juve, Weezy, Turk, and B.G. all fit into place. With songs like "My Section", " "Stick and Move", "Off With ta Head" etc., this album is good from start to finish. No Jazze Phe (or however you spell his name) productions-ALL MANNIE FRESH! It's good to hear the clique back together one last time. If you are a Cah $ fan, you need to buy this album. In comparision to 400 degreez or Guirella Warfare, this album is one level below simply due to the fact that time has moved on. If this abbum would've came out in say99/2000, it would've been another CMR classic.

4.0 out of 5 stars actually i'd give it 4 1/2., March 29, 2003

Im from the west coast but im a huge hip-hop fan i have thousands of rap cd's and i am telling you that this cd is awesome. Although this album was recorded 3 years ago, it is obvious that during this album Juvenile, B.G., Turk, and Lil Wayne were all IN THEIR PRIME. As far as the beats go, this might be the best cd mannie fresh ever produced. The hot boys are aggressive as ever on every track, even turk and wayne sound surprisingly good, and B.G. might even be the star of the album, hell, even Baby is great in his guest appearances. One of the best albums cash money has ever released, no joke.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tight..., August 24, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Let Em Burn (Audio CD)
I'm from New Orleans and I have all Cash money Cd's underground and mainstream. This is a bunch of verses that were laying around in the vault and Mannie put beats on them some of the verses are str8 from older songs previously recorded. Word is Baby owed Universal another Hott boy albulm but the whole crew left besides Wayne. Soooo they hooked up like I said old verses against new beats and a little help from some newer cashmoney members and made this CD. You can tell Wayne made some new verses b/c on a couple tracks he sounds like the Wayne of today and on trhe rest like the little kid voice of yesterday. But all that said still a Hott soilid albulm and I love it.
