I've been waiting for something like this...,

what can i say?? amazing, amazing, amazing! i've been into them for a little while now, before the full cd actually came out, and boy, did the whole thing really exceed my expectations, which were already high. static to the heart is definitely one of my favorite songs of all time (not like that list is small, heh), and so many more get trapped in your head, and you'll be singing along all day. with music really breaking boundaries nowadays, and influences molding and paving ways to new beginnings and genres, Jukebox certainly is leading the way to a great future. songs about waking up to the beatiful, ugly, odd, and raw things of life, with upbeat, toe-tappin, good fun driving it all to catchy satisfaction. i highly reccommend checking them out and adding this great cd to your collection, and enjoy a sampling of the some of the new music with true heart and passion these days, that are breaking the mold, and leading soundtracks to prevalent, and humble issues of what were all feeling in life right now. let live, let ghosts, and let jukebox rock your socks off!!!

I loved the band as soon as I heard the first single "Hold it in". The only drawback is that I have listened to them so much lately that I burned myself out.
Definitely a must listen if you like Ben Folds, Dismemberment Plan and possibly The Beatles even, as their music reminds me of a cocktail made up of the previous two with a splash of the third for good measure.

Jukebox is a trio from DC including 3 George Washtington students and this is their debut album. It's extremely energetic and poppy, even the somewhat tongue in cheek songs about the impending apocalypse. Alot of people compare them to Ben Folds, which is a fair comparison. They use drums, keyboard, and guitar for the most part and the piano-driven songs create great little pop tunes on this debut album. Their energy live also makes for a fun live show. I would say this is a great album if you are looking for some quirky pop songs that deal with subjects a bit of the beaten path, but still want a fun energetic romp.

Worth the money. I've listened to the cd more times than I can count. Tri-fold softish case with lyrics included as an insert. These guys are energetic, quirky and fun. Wife says they sound like Ben Folds, but I think they create their own sound. Hope they make a lot more.

Great songwriting, excellent musicianship. A real gem - one of those albums you play at a party and people start asking, "Who ARE these guys?"

I saw these guys open for Ben Folds last night and I was blown away! Openers can be hit or miss so often (they were more of a miss last time I saw Folds), but these guys were just as entertaining as the main event! Sadly, the manic energy they have live can't quite be translated onto a recording, but their quirky, infectious music certainly stands on its own. When I was watching them, I kept thinking of how much they reminded me of Queen--particularly Ben Thornewill's vocals and Tommy Siegel's guitar style--and apparently everybody has heard the same thing. They also have a lot in common with Ben Folds Five in the sense that they tend to produce quirky material a bit off the beaten track, but there's a lot more optimism going on in this album, whereas Ben Folds Five (and Folds continued this trend) have more of an edge of darker humor. I absolutely recommend this album to pretty much anybody!

I just saw this band open for Ben Folds last night and had not heard of them before. They play an awesome and very energetic live show. Their songs are catchy and even though I had not heard them I found myself following along with the beat and enjoying every minute of it. My first thought when I heard them play was they were a mix of Ben Folds and They Might Be Giants and I agree with the other reviews that state the same and other similiarities. Based on seeing them open for Ben Folds I will definitely get their album.
