Book Description

If you’re lucky, you’ll fall in love – truly, madly and deeply in love. But what happens when that honest and pure love isn’t enough to erase your fears? What happens when your past rears its ugly head and threatens your future?

Maddy and Reid had that kind of love – the all-encompassing, Earth shattering, once in a lifetime kind of love. Then life happened. Old wounds that were thought to be long healed and scabbed over are ripped opened and they are forced to face the possibility that, maybe, they are not strong enough to fight their demons and embrace the light.

Together, they found out what love is, but now they will each need to heal on their own before they can ever be together again. They must face their fears and beat down their pasts in order to find their way through this crazy uphill battle called love.

They’ve let love in, but now, they need to find out how to Let Love Stay.

**Let Love Stay is the sequel to Let Love In and has a HEA and is intended for readers who are 18 or older.**

"I loved this book. It was right on target! Melissa did a wonderful job breaking through our emotions. The character's emotions and actions couldn't have been better. I love how the story itself played out. I could not have asked for anything better." -Up All Night Book Addict

5.0 out of 5 stars A really great adult contemporary romance August 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and because I read the first book, Let Love In (review here). This book starts where the last one left off, with Maddy in the hospital after she's revealed the pregnancy to Reid. Reid does what he does best, throw a temper tantrum and storm off. But who can blame him? He's young and comes from a bad home life. He's never had this much responsibility and has never been in love before. Maddy is understandably crushed and does the only thing she can - she leaves to go stay with Momma & Melanie. She has to figure out what she's going to do, whether Reid is in her life or not.

This book is a new adult romance that has it all - sex, romance, love, heartache, drama and happily ever after. There are highs and lows and good times and bad, just as in life. The relationship between Maddy & Reid is so hot it is combustible. They both love each other to the ends of the earth and back but they both have a lot of immaturity and history to get past if they are ever going to stay together. I don't always like new adult romance, but this is a good story, with good characters that makes you feel something as you read. This isn't always a feel good story, but it does have a happy ending that will make you smile.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Story! September 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was the second book in the love series. It did not disappoint! I loved it just as much as I loved the first one. It picks up right where book one left off.

Maddy has moved back home. She will be a mother soon, and what should be one of the most exciting times of her life isn't turning out that way. She wants Reid to share all of it with, but since he walked away from it all she is broken, sad, and doesn't know how to move on without the love of her life, and the father of her baby. I really felt for her! She had so many heartbreaking things happen in just a short part of her life. Your heart will ache for Maddy a lot!

Reid you love/ hate him! One minute you hate him for walking away, and the next you want to hug him for everything he has went through in his past.I felt like his past is what held him back from giving his heart completely. I love that Reid is a bad boy that fights for what he wants after everything he has been through.

I give this book 5 stars! I loved it from start to finish! I loved it just as much as the first maybe even more. I loved the different POVs. This is a wonderful love story of two people trying to fix each others broken hearts, and get through some of the most horrible events in each others lives. I was cheering them on to get through it all together. There was still the hot factor between these two that we loved in the first book Let Love In.I did shed a few tears, but I laughed some too. This is one of my favorite series. I hope we get a little more of their story soon.Melissa Collins thank you for this beautifully written story. It touched my heart.

4.0 out of 5 stars Let Love Stay Review October 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Welcome back! This review of Let Love Stay is a follow-up to my review from Let Love In. If you have not checked that review out do so first before reading this one I didn't give much away in the first review but this one will probably contain spoilers from book 1, it's the only way to discuss book 2 LOL

We begin exactly where we left off in the first book, Maddy has told Reid that she is pregnant. They argue and go their separate ways. The first chapters go back and forth between Maddy and Reid trying to cope without each other. We really see their true feelings and the love that they have. Each of them is stubborn about contacting the other as they sort through their emotions.

"Love is complicated, But in the end, it's as easy as you make it." Excellent words of advice from Momma C!

I was happy to see that Reid came to his senses, about his past and about Maddy. He surprises her and whisks her away to a hotel, and let me tell you something...OMG! This was HOT...if they had been apart any longer they probably would have hurt each other LOL

" `Reid...Reid...Reid...' My name is a mantra on her tongue as her orgasm consumes her. She's nothing more that a boneless pool of liquid desire beneath me. I love that I can do this to her."

This time around Maddy and Reid are more understanding of what the other is going through. Reid is trying to do right by Maddy as well as try to
forgive his mother as she lies on her death-bed and Maddy is trying not to push him too much. We jump from December to April and then to the following December all within the final three chapters....I was confused at first, why the big leap?? Then I understood....we got a HEA and a glimpse into their future! I was so happy that Maddy and Reid worked things out, especially after all they went through.

"We're both so wounded in so many ways, and both so willing to learn how to stay together."

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was an amazingly passionate and emotional continuation to Maddy and Reid's story!! We fell in love with these characters in Let Love In and it was so amazing to watch as they grew into stronger people in this book! I am so glad that we get more from all these characters in what will be a long, wonderful series!

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Happy Stars! September 26, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Maddy and Reid get it together and make their love work! For each other and themselves. Love alternating POV. Reid has to come to grips with his past and family- all the while working hard to keep his focus on school and Maddy. Maddy has so much on her plate- but I have to say that I adore how they don't give up. Is is hard? Yep. But it is so worth it. A truly beautiful love story with forgiveness and so much hope, am looking forward to Mel's story in Let Love Heal.

More About the Author

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it's been a dream.

Her passion for writing didn't start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn't long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa's brain and The Love Series was born.
