It's been awhile since I've read Cathy Lee Crosby's book, but when I finished it I recommended it to friends "in need" and they loved it, too. I want to recommend it to you.

3.0 out of 5 stars trite spirituality from the "Where is she now?" file
This book is mainly interesting to those who wonder "Whatever became of that star from TV's That's Incredible?" As this autobiography (of sorts) indicates, she hit rock bottom. Bankruptcy, sued by her former lover, career going nowhere.

It's been awhile since I've read Cathy Lee Crosby's book, but when I finished it I recommended it to friends "in need" and they loved it, too. I want to recommend it to you.

I've rated "Let the Magic Begin" with five stars because it is an inspiring story of a woman on a magical journey...if I had not believed that the events had happened as magically as they seemed to, perhaps I would have rated it lower, but I have seen the power of "coincidence" in my own life enough to know that there is no such thing! As Cathy clearly points out in the course of her story, perception is the key to the magic of life. First you must believe to make the magic work!

Read this book if you feel there is something undefinable missing in your life. Read it if you want to stop making the same mistakes over and over again. Absolutely read it if you feel you have an insurmountable problem. Read it if you'd like to become a healthier person...read it if you like people.... But most importantly, when you read it, Believe, and the believing will make it so.

This book is mainly interesting to those who wonder "Whatever became of that star from TV's That's Incredible?" As this autobiography (of sorts) indicates, she hit rock bottom. Bankruptcy, sued by her former lover, career going nowhere.

She then tells us how she recovered through discovering a "spiritual path." Talked to shamans and such. Began eating health food from Trader Joe's. She includes recommended food at the back of the book, including brand names.

She drops lots of celebrity names to let us know how "connected" she is to Hollywood. She dishes no dirt on anyone. Nothing juicy in this book. This is no "tell all," but rather her calling card to get back in the business.

I was a fan of That's Incredible, so I bought the book. Reading it, I ended liking her more, and respecting her less. She seems a nice person, but real flakey. Typical Hollywood personality.

If you enjoyed That's Incredible, and wonder whatever became of its star, you may enjoy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real how-to guide to Happiness - the only true success., February 19, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Let the Magic Begin (Hardcover)
This review will also appear in the Success Express Journal: http://www.success.ie I sat down to read a few lines of the introduction on the same day I received the book. A few lines turned into 7 chapters... I was entranced. So many 'motivational' books are difficult to follow because they are so thick with theory. This book has been one of the easiest reads I have ever enjoyed. Each page seemed to hold a new realization for me, and was at the same time entertaining. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who can remember what it was like to play as a child. If you can remember what it was like to play for the sake of playing, and would like to learn how to do it again, READ THIS BOOK NOW. Cathy Lee's book is beautifully written. Her journey takes every popular "how-to" book in my library at least one step further, farther, faster. I have been buying copies for everyone I know who's forgotten how to have fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Incredible Life!, November 28, 2010
This review is from: Let the Magic Begin (Hardcover)
I recently meet Cathy Lee Crosby at two spiritual events in Los Angeles this fall. We engaged in a coupe of brief private conversations. I was left wanting to know more about this wonderful women. In person, she is as wholesome and honest as her image projects. However, she is much more deeper spiritually and more heart centered than the public might ever know. I was motivated to get a copy of her autobiography and read her story. I am glad that I did. I found so much "gold" within the pages.

Her book "Let the Magic Begin: Opening the Door to a Whole New World of Possibility" is not just a book about her own life. It is like an offering to others to find their own bliss and inner peace. She outlines her own personal search which at times was painfully difficult. She learned something of value from all that happened to her. She continues to move onward with life even when the darkness around her allows little hope. Her book will inspire others to not give up on their life dreams when things go bad.

Her radiant light shines through the pages as she unfolds her life journey to the reader. It is moving, entertaining and even mystical. It is who she was. I say "was" because she is an evolving soul that seems to be discovering new parts of herself as she transverses life's highway. The Cathy Lee of the old television show "That's Incredible" is no more - what the reader will discover is that she moved on in so many positive ways on a personal level. She has found a greater purpose for her life with more meaning.

I recommend the book to all those seeking to find themselves. I believe that reading her story may give some readers greater insight into their own lives. The book has been out there for over a decade but it is still a fresh and inspiring tale. Get a copy and read it! She is truly an "Angelic Warrior"!

I've been a suffering Bi-polar most of my adult life and have just come through a five year depressive period. A friend told me about this book and in five weeks I see more and know more about where I'm going and how to get there for the first time in years...if not ever. I love you Cathy Lee for putting down, for us all to read, a way back to the future. Charlie Reinmille
