From the Back Cover

Red-hot advice from the redhead who doesn't pull any punches

Mother, wife, and fan favorite Caroline Manzo has been through it all as one of the original breakout stars of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The explosive and addicting reality series has seen some of the craziest moments in Real Housewives history, but Caroline has managed to set herself apart as the levelheaded, fiercely loyal, and down-to-earth member of the cast.

Now Caroline, who is known for her no-nonsense advice, "tells you something" about what it really takes to juggle three kids and a husband (and still maintain your sanity), all while living in the spotlight. Her wisdom on family, life, and love, and her shockingly honest confessions about beauty, body image, and even plastic surgery, resonate with women of every generation. Equal parts funny, sincere, and revealing, Caroline exposes the sweeter, more reflective side of herself that fans of the show might not always see.

Filled with personal stories, family photos, and Caroline's characteristic humor, Let Me Tell You Something gives fans and readers an all-access, behind-the-scenes pass into the life of this real New Jersey housewife and her family, where honest advice and practical life lessons are served up as only Caroline can.

EDITED 4/22:
Why is it that most of her 5 star reviews all say the same thing, i.e. Caroline is great, loved the book, without any details about what was in the book that they loved? I find that fascinating, almost seems like fake reviews when compared to the other ones where it's obvious the writer read the book.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
If you don't know anything about the Real Housewives of New Jersey, this probably won't mean much to you. Caroline Manzo has been on the show for all 4 seasons, and they are getting ready to air Season 5 on which she is also cast. In that time, viewers watched her go from a shrewd, loyal and sometimes funny person and great mom in the early seasons into a nasty bitter woman who has failed at being a sister, a friend and at times, a mother.

This book was her chance to redeem herself. In fact, I always thought that was what she was doing. Once this book was announced, she practically went on a P.R. campaign to undo the damage she had done to her own reputation. I thought this book would be the original Caroline the viewers fell in love with, but no. Not only is this still the same bitter woman - brace yourself, because she's worse. In addition to bitter and nasty, you can now add pompous braggart to the description.

She should have taken this opportunity to be humble in the face of a changing public opinion of herself, but instead, she rubbed in our faces (and her ex-boyfriend) that she drives Ferrari's and Bentleys. She rubbed in our faces that her Facebook friend requests outnumbered the amount allowed by Facebook. And she says her real reason for writing the book is to "help people." She lists all the ways she has helped people - it is positively mind-numbing.

To quote Caroline, "I got nothin"!!! Worst book ever - how pretentious, how scathing, what a braggart. And to think I just handed over more money to her. Too much!

UGH! I really wanted to enjoy this book, but I simply could not get past the constant pat on the back this woman gave herself. We get it, Caroline. You're a very miserable individual and really try and over compensate throughout this entire book with the endless accolades you give to yourself. Very self-serving. Folks, "you heard it here first"...please don't be a "clown" and "regret" your purchase. You'll only understand my quotes if you've already been hustled out of your money on this nonsense. Oh, and I really wish she'd refrain from referring to herself in the 3rd person. So narcissistic!
I've read the other housewives' books. They appeared so humble in comparison and I truly enjoyed theirs'.

This book was just another attempt by Caroline to brag and try and make us believe how great her children are. The same children who did not finish college and and had to have Mommy and Daddy set them up with jobs. The same kids who have never and still do not have happy healthy relationships, the same children who cannot do anything on their own like Lauren and her weak try at heathy eating and exercise before taking the lapband easy way out. I know many who have had the lapband because they really just could not lose the weight even with going to the gym 5 times a week, so no I do not think everyone who gets one is taking the easy way out but clearly that's what Lauren did just as she does now. These kids need the apron strings cut and to be kicked out if the nest but Momma cannot let go she has even bought an Apt where the boys live to be near them again.

She is not even close with all if her brothers and sisters yet she is going to give us advice on family. LOL Thanks but think I will just keep doing what I have been since I am super close with ALL of my family and none of us have ever punched each other in the face. It was not worth the money or time I put into this book.

Full disclosure: I don't like Caroline on RHONJ, but I am a sucker for memoir/biographical books, plus I love RHONJ as a whole, so I wanted to give it a try. I love to read and I don't discriminate against authors as long as the writing is good!

That said-- this was not my cup of tea. Caroline came across as RUDE, PRETENTIOUS, and FORCEFUL. I understand that this book is supposed to be about her ideas, views, and advice, but to me it was very forceful. Caroline's way or no way. I felt like unless you did/acted as she said to, there was no chance of you having as great of a life as she does. And I don't think her life is all that great.

I bought this hoping for a light, fun read about her life and advice, but this was like reading Caroline's Commandments. This left such a bad taste in my mouth!

This is obviously just another housewife trying to make some extra money. I actually just finished Brandi's new book and i was great and very entertaining. This book was the opposite. Caroline Manzo, this is such a disappointment.

Let me tell you something, a lot of trees died in vain. This book is garbage, nothing of substance or interest written by the author.

This woman is something - self righteous, narcissistic, lacking self awareness and so hypocritical. Same on the show, same in this poorly written boring nonsense of a "book.". I would not recommend it at all. Save your money. If I could rate it as a -5 star, I would.

Let Me Tell You Something
I was going to leave my own opinion on this book, but you said everything I was thinking. I see nothing of her parenting style that I would want to emulate....actually, I see nothing about her I would want to emulate.
