Mind-blowingly bad 1970s hardcore porn flick with a cast of muppet-style puppets. My only guess is that the producers were so whacked on sex and cocaine that they convinced themselves this would be a brilliant idea. Terrible jokes, terrible music/dance numbers, and of course the sex is just for laughs; the opening sequence features a puppet woman doing it with her puppet dog, who promises her in a typical muppety voice, "Don't worry about the neighbors--I'm discreet!" Worth watching in some respects, such as for the amazing variety of hokey comedic sound effects that were already cliched twenty years earlier; hearing them in this film calls up memories of countless bad DePatie-Freleng cartoons. Has the sensibility of a borsch-belt comedy revue gone horrifyingly awry. Prefigures Peter Jackson's Meet the Feebles, but that film was creative, outrageous, and funny as heck; this one is just awful.

Sick, funny, and idiotic. The only way you will like this film is if you want to see puppet's screwing. There is NO great story line. Basically it's about these men who don't want to loose their jobs/get fired (can't remember), so they start making porn films. Certain scenes will surprise you, such as: the dog and woman, the swimming man who gets b--wn by a fish (quick scene), lusterien, The va--- a singing thing (what?????), and the woman who is a man, yet has her d-ck cut off with scissors (for a movie she/he is in). It is funny...I guess???????? You'd really want to watch this movie with a "what?" frame of mind. If you can start out with "what", then the laughter will surely follow. I gave it five stars because I know I will never see this kind of film again.
However, this film does jump at times, not really knowing where you're at in the story. Also, I have seen this on DVD before, you just have to really look for it. If not, then invest in vhs. If you like this film, then you should also see "meet the feebles" (on dvd).

i saw this film a decade ago and still talk about it. if you're a fan of conan o'brien type comedy you'll love this. the jokes are horrible, the sex scenes are hillarious, and looks on the puppets faces are classic. this aint the freaking muppets.

There has never been, and probably never will be, another film quite like this. From the (ahem) genius who brought you the porn classics "Deep Throat" and "Devil In Miss Jones", comes this Muppet-like, "All singing! All willing to do unmentionable sex acts!" movie. It was done to lampoon everything from Madison Avenue advertising to our puritanical sex views...and it succeeds on more levels than you would think.

I was given this VHS original when it first came out. To this day, thirty-five years later, I remember the proposed ad for "Lusterine" as one of the most hysterical scenes ever.

Purchasers of the DVD should note one very important difference between this VHS version and the US-DVD - a great deal has been cut from the original VHS. There is a full 30 minute difference. The VHS version is 75 minutes, and the DVD is only 45 minutes. Mind you, the VHS version does drag in the middle, and 75 minutes was probably at least 10 minutes too long. But there is some good stuff missing from the DVD, so unless you see the VHS version, do realize you're not seeing everything that was there (pun intended)!

It is not a great movie. It is not even a great porno movie. But it has its moments, and even though the editing is a bit rough in spots, it definitely has humor - something that both porn and sci-fi/fantasy can always use a lot more of.
