I had to get this book for my Intro to Acting class and it taught quite a few novel concepts. That being said, acting is a field where knowledge cannot be distilled in a book. You need practice and mentoring. But this book is great at being a good companion to those two things. The reason I did not give this a 5-star rating is because I am not experience enough in this field to accurately judge its worth. But as far a newbie, I liked it.

I got this book late last year, and it is absolutely amazing! I found the book through a suggested reading list off another book I was reading at the time. Trust me this book will be very beneficial to you if you are looking to get into the art of acting. Im new to the game, and just started acting last year, or rather I started taking it seriously last year and this book has been extremely helpful and guiding to a newcomer like me. It's also great, because you don't have to be in a group to play all the games in it.

What a super book - "spot on" for learning to act but full of lessons applicable to life in general, with regard to relaxation, concentration, listening . . . An enlightening and enjoyable read.

I have been using this book for years, working on my acting craft..It is very practical and the exercises in this book are fun, and it builds those foundational skills needed for acting..Highly recommend this book!
