fine RCA years compilation, June 7, 2007

Les Elgart's brother Larry recorded for RCA in the late 50's and while the general sound of both bands were similar, Larry's was more jazz oriented but still danceable. This CD sounds great. Larry has one of the best alto sax voices ever! I was lucky enough to see him in concert several years ago. He told the audience he still practices everyday. Instead of a 70 year old man barely able to play, when I closed my eyes and just listened, timed roled back almost fifty years!!. I can never get enough of The Elgart Touch!
