Awesome!!!,

Great songs by great bands....Watch Ian Gillian totally screw up Highway Star. He wasn't lip-syncing this one. He starts screaming about Steve McQueen and Mighty Mouse before the chorus! Ann Wilson was in top form in this awesome performance of Barracuda. She missed a few mouth cues though. Looks like Howard Leese needed a little more practice at this point to synchronize his guitar tricks with the playback. Joan Jett looks hot as usual. As do the original Blackhearts look like nerds. Born to Be Wild Rocked!!!!! Stone the Crows? Who is this band and why does that woman frighten me so much?? Throw in some Alice Cooper and Motorhead along with the rest of the 22 vids and you got perfect TV watching for your next Headbangers Ball party!

Best 70's Live performances,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Let It Rock Rare TV Recordings on DVD (DVD)
This DVD is the best quality sounding and edited performances of the Musikladen/Beat Club. Of the 22 tracks 15 or are Live performances by the bands in their prime-early 70's. The highlight of the DVD for me was the Yes performance-Just this unedited raw performance alone is worth owning this DVD. The live performances on the DVD are as follows: Free, Deep Purple, Mountain, Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Family, Ginger Bakers Airforce, The Doobie Brothers, BTO, Stone Crows, Deep Purple, The Grease Band, Man and Yes.Live performances by Free, Deep Purple, Nazareth, Doobie Brothers and Bachman Turner Overdrive are repeated from the Best of Beat Club 1&2/Musiklanden DVD's with much better sound and editing. All are complete as was possible from the original shows and much better sound quality. The disappointing portion of this DVD was the Lip Synched performances by some of the biggest bands of the era. The lip synched performances are as follows Meat Loaf, Steppenwolf, The Who, Jethro Tull, Spooky Tooth?, Heart, Joan Jett. Even though the bands are lip synching, just seeing them for posterity sake was somewhat enjoyable. I would highly recommend this DVD for any classic rock fan who is looking for raw live perfomances from bands in their prime.
