All in all, a great effort from Rob Zombie and an amazing buy for White Zombie fans.

It just feels like there should be more included here; we all know that it's out there, but why wasn't it included?

Anyways basically it's worth it more as a collectors item, but had a little buyers remorse after.

Preface: I am a HUGE White Zombie fan, and have been looking forward to this box set for years. As far as the quality of the music contained herein, this set gets a 5 out of 5.

1. Omissions. The set contains no remixes, which is neither surprising nor disappointing, since White Zombie's remixes were done by outside personel and, quite honestly, were never as good as the original recordings. Strangely, though, "Black Friday" and "Dead or Alive" are omitted from this set (maybe because they were only on the cassette version of "Gods on Voodoo Moon"?). Songs like "Star Slammer" which were previously recorded but never before released are also AWOL on the box set. What a shame.

2. Redundancy. La Sexorcisto and Astro Creep are contained, in their entirety, on Discs 3 and 4 (respectively). Anyone who's a big enough White Zombie fan to shell out this kind of money for the box set already has the two albums, both of which are owned by millions of fans across the world. Rob knows this, but included them anyway. Why? So he could justify a higher price tag? I feel like a moron for paying for something I already own.

3. Aesthetics. The packaging is very, very disappointing. Back in the day, Geffen declined to front the money to give Astro Creep the kind of elaborate booklet that Rob wanted. So, what did he do? He spent a big chunk of change out of his own pocket to give the album the kind of treatment it deserved. Sadly, Rob seems to have gotten miserly in his old age. The set's packaging is in the form of a compressed fold-out digipack. The booklet (which is in the form of a standard CD booklet, not an actual book, as I had hoped) is uninteresting and offers neither liner notes nor lyrics.

This is a great box set that has been a long time in the making. It covers all of White Zombies from their early days all the way up to the end and also includes alot of the B-Sides and songs from soundtracks that they did.

The early stuff might take a little getting used to, but overall I really like this set and would recommend it to any White Zombie fan.

This box set is the grand finale for everything White Zombie. Overall I'm very pleased. Granted there isn't much along the road of extras, but White Zombie is a band that makes music and that's what you get... the music. Considering the restraints Rob Zombie had while making this, no communication with the rest of the band and little time, I thought it was an exceptional effort. For those who are complaining about the included material this article, [...] , should explain much. All in all, a great effort from Rob Zombie and an amazing buy for White Zombie fans.

If you became a fan of White Zombie during the 90s with material like 'Astro Creep' and 'La Sexorcisto', fine, that's your prerogative. I find that music incredibly dull, just three heavy chords with some industrial dance backing and a ton of samples. The reason for this box set to exist AT ALL is to give fans a chance to hear those heavenly pre-Sexorcisto releases. Once upon a time, White Zombie was a KILLER noise rock band whose style was a mix of Birthday Party, Flipper and Scratch Acid. They would have fit wonderfully among the stable of artists on Amphetamine Reptile records. Rob Zombie (back when he was Rob Straker) sang in this weird, nasally high pitch, scratchy voice before he turned into this macho, biker metal guy. And that mixed with the weird movie lyrics really worked! But this box set is such a rip off! No one wins with this box set except for the greedy record company. If you're a fan of their later stuff, then you have to purchase albums you already own again and if you don't want to hear those albums because you only want to hear their early stuff, you have to buy albums you're never going to listen to! Seriously! Why did they repackage their WHOLE catalog? Who thought of this? Clearly Rob Zombie has some clout over at Geffen given his solo career success and his recent celebrity status in Hollywood!

The other reviews make a lot of good points but I think they're missing the point. This box set has all the hard to find early White Zombie recordings. Many people write those recordings off but I acutally like them a lot better. I enjoy the garage noise rock sound that they produced on those early albums and EPs. The best I can describe the early White Zombie recordings are as the demented undead step-brother of Sonic Youth. If you're not into that version of White Zombie they also include their later, and more successful, Geffen albums. My only complaint about this box set is that it doesn't include the songs "Black Friday" and "Dead or Alive" from their first EP, Gods on Voodoo Moon. I do feel a little ripped off by that and that is the reason I only gave this box set four stars. I still think its worth buying though and if you can get it early while it still on sale, you should jump on the chance.

Couldn't even believe it was out already. I'm a die hard white zombie/rob zombie fan and have been awaiting this release for some time. It was an unexpected surprise when I spotted this for sale earlier today. I've been checking Rob's website monthly to see a release date.

Anyways basically it's worth it more as a collectors item, but had a little buyers remorse after. I've owned the earlier white zombie records and trust me they're not something you're going to listen to for pleasure. Some songs sound like a garage band playing for the first time. The rest of the cd is some soundtrack songs mixed with the rest of the white zombie collection.

DVD is pretty solid.

I guess I personally had higher expectations.
