A tale worth chasing.
Let Sleeping Dogs Lie is a wonderful story. Full of espionage, stupid bad guys, gullible females and of course the good guy with enough flaws and scars you could be forgiven for wondering where his intentions lay. There are surprises, enough familiarity where you're not afraid to go down the path, yet when you get so far, the twists will either pull you further in quickly or make you pause in excitement.
I love the casual, straight to the point way the author writes. I had to stop reading for a while because I didn't want the book to end. The characters are believable, storyline exciting and the book well written.

I was given a copy of this book for review purposes.(C) Ey Wade 2013 all rights reserved and all rights granted to the author of reviewed book.

"Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" is Pico Triano's debut novel. Set in Canada, a chance meeting, a damsel in distress and a reluctant hero leads to exciting adventure.

I want to let every reader know that I became familiar with Pico and his protagonist Mark Rathman through a writing website where I fell in love with his characterization and easy writing style. I purchased "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" and my subjective thoughts follow.

Besides enjoying the character building, this tale includes snippets of Mark Rathman's back-story and unknown relationship to Christine, the damsel in distress, with amazing character growth throughout the tale. They combine their talents to plan and execute a long-overdue debt, the death of Mark's family by the hands of criminals.

The antagonists are equally well described, personality traits as well as physical appearances. The bad guys you love to hate and cheer when things go awry.

Nice scene breaks and I love the breath catching action that flows into short intellectual calm before another unexpected event. Twists and turns within the plot will keep the reader surprised.

I understand there could be a sequel in the works and I will be watching to read further adventures of Mark Rathman.
