THIS ALBUM ROCKS. I have not been so blown away by a debut album since "opiate " by Tool. Can't wait to see these guys live, If you like rock and roll in the vein of Motorhead, Iggy Pop, AC/DC or the Reverend Horton Heat, do yourself a HUGE favor and get Nashville Pussy.

One big package, January 30, 1999

NP has carved their own dirty niche in rock. Using formulas in everything from their stage show to their lone album, the tried but true actions pay off live but come up short on record (like the early Who and the Doors). Clocking in at only 27 minutes, NP uses clever hooks and the usual bag of "momma's gonna hate this" words and subjects that may have been new in 1977, but aren't too threatening in 1998. The live shows come off much better as NP is a full metal assault on all 5 senses. Using just sound and sight in buying this album is far too limiting for on the edge circus act that has a lot to offer in this age of preprogrammed electechtronica.

Your mother's gonna hate this!, January 9, 1999

Nashville Pussy restores my faith in Rock'n'Roll like no other band in ten years! The mixture of Rockabilly, Punk and Heavy Metal hits you in the face like a sledgehammer. The coolest thing is that the band features an honest-to-god female guitar hero, who plays better than most of her contemporary male counterparts. If they don't self-destruct, this band is going to go very far indeed. They deserve it!

Rock and roll the way it was meant to be- raw, loud and fast. Oh yeah, and with two blond amazon guitarists who breathe fire. Short on chops but still tight. Over the top energy and attitude.

Return of the helluva good dirt rock !, January 14, 1999

Nashville Pussy... even the name sounds good. These guys & gals really know how to get it going, there's enough drive to get a heavy truck rolling. When I got this cd it took me 4 days to change the record altough this is bit short release. But if the songs are good they don't have to be over 4 minutes.

Too bad Nashville Pussy isn't together anymore. However the new band name is 9lb Hammer. Same great riffs and lyrics though. Check them out if they come to your town
