4.0 out of 5 stars More heat from Ro and Mike Dean
This new LP from Z-Ro is heat. If you like "Life of Joseph P. .." you will be impressed. The production value sounds better and the vibe is more upbeat than the last one which was real heavy and emotional. Some songs, like the song with Ashanti, are not good, but when Z-Ro works with Mike Dean the result is always dope. These two have a good chemsitry because Mike Deans...

3.0 out of 5 stars Z-Ro tells the Truth (3.5 stars)
Mike Jones, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall deserve a lot of props for resurrecting the Houston rap scene, but you can't sleep on the Mo City Don Z-Ro, as he's been around a lot longer. Z-Ro brings Houston a solid Rap-A-Lot records debut, which shouldn't disappoint longtime fans, nor people just getting' in to him. The hi-lites of the album include the fast-paced "1 Night" w/...

These two have a good chemsitry because Mike Deans sound is real melodic and Z-Ro has a good singing voice for the hooks. He sings a bit like Isaac Hayes. Overall I don't think the material is as solid end to end musically as the last album, but it has a better sounding lower end; I think they paid more attention to the mastering this time. He has a rap style similar to a mix of Bun B and Tupac, he can spit. Z-Ro went to jail shortly after the last album came out and he didn't get a chance to promote it right. This album has songs that will probably appeal to a wider audience and it will be good to see Z-Ro get the respect he deserves

5.0 out of 5 stars Z-ro is a hot Houston Cat so get the album if you recognize real, July 12, 2006
This review is from: Let the Truth Be Told (Audio CD)
Look this cd is tight. This cat isn't like Paul Wall, who raps about having diamonds in his bookers or chain so long kids can jump rope with it. Yall stop buying rap that is garbage and pick up a real cd and support real rappers. Yall listen to too much commerical stuff and think most of it is hip hop. It is hip not so if you are real then you recognize real. If you are not then keep buying the Dike Jones, Paul Wall, and Cowboy Troy or whatever that cat name is. If a rapper has to be wack to have people support his album then I might come out with as a rapper knowing that people like yall who don't know hip hop would make me rich. I would be rapping about having gold toliet seats and carrots like Bugs Bunny. Well, anyways yall get the picture this cat is real so listen to the cd it is tight.

5.0 out of 5 stars C-No Brown Review, May 6, 2005

This review is from: Let the Truth Be Told (Audio CD)
Ro is a well known certified microphone assasin. It was only right for this album to follow the national Z-Ro tradition of wreckage! This album isn't as deep and heart wrenching as Life of Joseph McVeigh, but it has what it needs because it adds the more commercial, easy to shop Z-ro to the menu. Now nigg@s can stop hatin and give the man his well deserved respect.

I LOVE Z-RO TO DEATH AND WOULD BUY ANYTHING HE APPEARS ON!!! he dont rap about how much bling he got like some artists brag about constantly... he speaks about life and the things you go through with family and friends. my opinion is that he is the best rapper alive and thats what i mean and what i say and how i feel.. this cd goes hard just like the rest of the cds he got out!!! i promise you , you will not regret buying this or any other cds cause he spits out nothing but real talk!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Z-Ro Hit, May 24, 2005

This review is from: Let the Truth Be Told (Audio CD)
This album is straight bangin. Its one of those albums you can kick back and listen to from start to finish. (...) The beats on here are extremely cold and the lyrics are the always real always true lyrics that Z-Ro continues to bring us. We are lucky to have the privelege to enjoy a performer as talented as Z-Ro. Even if you didnt like David Mcveigh, you should definitely cop this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars H-Town's Anthem, May 3, 2005
This review is from: Let the Truth Be Told (Audio CD)
At first, I thought Z-Ro was whack, but my nigg@z told me the he was the best rapper in H-Town close to Face. Z-Ro totally surpasses Slim, Flip, Mike Jones Who? (whack @ss). Z-Ro probably will go platinum with this album, only if it survives all those bootleggers out there. GO BUY THIS ALBUM!!! STOP BEING CHEAP!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars We needed this back in HTOWN, April 28, 2005
By
This review is from: Let the Truth Be Told (Audio CD)
I want to see TI try to go head to head with ZRO. This has been long overdo. Honestly I think he could have came harder, but I understand he's nationwide and cannot keep it straight Houston. I love all 17 tracks, hooks, and cameo spots. Im sorry I do have a BIAS I am from Houston as well as the south side of HTOWN and Im just happy we got more national recogniton. Now Scarface can gone go behind the scenes and search out more talent.
