Klings music resonates with a certain organic authenticity and her compositions are heart-rooted and spirit-seeking. Each song is another way of looking at what is real, what is true, and what invites us all into a more passionate and well-lived life. Klings self-produced solo debut, Let It Unfold captures that same energy and was released independently by HeartSprings Music in December of 2002. The project features the musical talents of Mark van Allen and Joseph Patrick Moore (formerly of Blueground Undergrass), plus Bill Kahler, Linda Bolley, Randy Smith and other great players.
With her rich voice and distinctive guitar style, Kling has been heard at such acclaimed venues as Nashvilles Bluebird Cafe, Atlantas Eddies Attic, Red Light Cafe and Variety Playhouse, Wisconsins Cafe Carpe, Indianas Front Porch Music and even the Long Island Railroad. Kling has shared the stage with such accomplished artists as Indigo Girls, Carrie Newcomer, Shawn Mullins, Caroline Aiken, Vigilantes of Love and New Age/soundtrack composer Mark Isham. Her musical influences include Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Nanci Griffith, John Gorka and David Wilcox.
Klings first project, What Key Is This In? a CD recorded while in the duo In This World with Dave Ceppos received substantial airplay on college and public radio and was featured in an American Public Radio Series on up and coming New Folk musicians produced by Christine Lavin. "Vocal harmonies and acoustic instrumentation make for a rich, full-bodied sound," read a review of that CD in Dirty Linen. Sojourners magazine said the music was "reminiscent of R.E.M.," and "concealing an ethic of goodness in songs about life, [In This World] invites listeners to conversion by immersion, by singing along with well-crafted lyrics." In 1990, Kling and Ceppos co-wrote the official Georgia Earth Day song "Ticking Away" for Earth Day's twentieth anniversary celebration. The duo then performed the song for a festival audience of over 9,000.
With the release of Let It Unfold, Kling takes a leap in her musical career and reaches out far beyond the sidewalks she first serenaded in Roselle, New Jersey and later in Atlanta, Georgia to people everywhere who are interested in journeys of the heart.

Sheri Kling brings a new warm sound to the music scene with her winning combination of country, pop and folk. Her ballads are meaningful, and sometimes fun, and you'll find yourself singing and foot stomping right along. She is a combination of the Dixie Chicks, Jewel, and Shawn Colvin all rolled into one great singer! This CD and her sound are a must have for your collection.

Amazing Album,

A treat for strong women, wanna-be strong women, and ANYONE who wants to experience life at its fullest!Sheri Kling's low voice rings somehow gentle and intense, carefree and purposeful all at the same time. That, along with imaginative and well-blending instrumentations, is just the right accompaniment for the wonderful texts. A spinner of words, Ms. Kling works with the listener from the inside out, bringing to the surface a myriad of life images, and celebrating with each of us our own unique journey in the world. I look forward to Sheri Kling's next CD. Perhaps that one will, at least for a time, give "Let It Unfold" a break from my car's CD player...
