About the Author

Jessica Hurley is the author of Let Your Worries Go, a book of lighthearted yet practical methods for keeping anxieties in perspective. She co-wrote with Lynn Gordon a series of popular activity cards, including 52 Relaxing Rituals, 52 Ways to Stay Young at Heart, and 52 Party Activities for Grown-ups, among several others. Recently she co-wrote, One Makes the Difference with environmental activist Julia Butterfly Hill. Jessica has traveled with a rock band, gone on safari in Africa, learned the art of poi fire dancing, and been employed as a serenity producer at a major Web/TV company. She lives in San Francisco.

This unique book, "Let Your Worries Go," showed me that I don't have to sit on a mountain top to find peace. Ms. Hurley words move me in a way that have me instantly trust her. Ms. Hurley knows me so well that I could, at times, hear her speaking directly to me. The illustrations are rich, colorful and vibrant. Inset in the cover are little hand-made dolls from Guatemala. They are traditional "worry dolls," and throughout the book are creative games that can be played with them to relieve stress. Thank you Jessica for making my life less hectic and showing me how to be present enough to experience the richness of life.

This wonderful book fills your mind and heart with ideas for gaining more bliss in your life. I loved the Guatemalan worry dolls that are contained in the cover of the book. This title is truly a treasure and would make a great gift for anyone you know who could benefit from letting their worries go!

I got this book as a gift for Christmas from my mother in law a few years ago. I keep it in my bedside nightstand. It's such a comfort and nice to read to remind myself not to worry so much. She throws in quotes from famous authors that are equally helpful. The illustrations are simple and wonderful and a pleasure to look at.
