Book Description

Imagine striving hard to achieve your dream job of working in Hollywood, getting it, but receive a calling in a field that you know nothing about? In this true story, Hilton Kelley’s career takes on an extraordinary journey that begins with his friendship with Forest Gump star Mykelti Williamson, working on a hit TV series, and even on movie sets with superstar Eddie Murphy.
His life was in perfect order until a return visit home to Port Arthur, Texas affects him in ways he would have never imagined. Due to the toxic emissions of local refineries, his hometown had been dying a slow death and time was running out. The desire to do something was too strong to resist so he left Hollywood behind to begin a fight for change. The bright lights of Hollywood was full of illusions, but could not compare to the lethal dose he had to deal with in his own hometown.
A Lethal Dose of Smoke and Mirrors proves that truth is definitely more dynamic than fiction.
