Not a Collins Best,
This review is from: Lethal Seduction (Hardcover)
Madison Castelli is one of the main female characters in the book. She's no Lucky Santangelo that's for sure, but she's a good character. She's beautiful, of course, so I couldn't understand why she was hanging on to grief about her ex-lover having walked out on her for another woman...two years ago. Madison's best friend, Jamie Nova, Not the best of Collins,

Very disappointed with this latest book,
This review is from: Lethal Seduction (Hardcover)
I had been waiting for a long time for the next Jackie book and I was very excited when this book came out. After reading it I was very disappointed, however because of the ending or lack there of. I felt like I had read this whole book and was expecting it to all tie together in the end or at least get some answers but I got neither! It seemed to me that all this book was is a format that layed the groundwork and storyline for her next book. I will think twice before I buy another one of her books. It is really too bad because I had read every one of her books and loved each and every one except this one.

Did she just get tired of writing?,

I'm at a loss. This book started out gang-busters, typical Collins ..... lots of raunchy sex, bitchy characters, the hooker with the heart of gold, the handsome underdog. With not a lot of character development, Collins weaves a fast-paced plot that keeps you turning the page. But all of a sudden, you start to feel like you're in one of those restaurants where the waiters try to rush you out the door so they can seat more customers. Detail and explanation are deemed unimportant ...... Collins rushes at breakneck pace to finish, and then just stops. Instead of telling the rest of the story -- and believe me, there's plenty left to tell -- she just ends it and gives you a few-sentence description of what happened to each character. I felt so cheated. I would rather invest my time in a well-developed story that actually has an evolved ending. Oh yeah, that's Nora Roberts! So long, Jackie.

Jackie does it again!!!,
This review is from: Lethal Seduction (Hardcover)
Jackie Collins once again takes us into her wonderful world of sex, lies, and deception that true Collins fans have loved for years. Lethal Seduction was a fast paced, tell all story involving the lives of the rich and famous (of course). I really enjoyed all of the characters, in particular "Rosarita". She gives the word 'bitch' an entirely new meaning. Enjoy reading about her plot to kill her husband and the lengths she must go through in trying to reach her ultimate goal (utterly hilarious at times). Also, the character of "Madison", from the L.A. Connections series, was extremely well written. I would say that the only thing that stopped me from giving this book a five star rating was its abrupt ending. It almost seemed like Ms Collins was in a rush all of a sudden to get through with the book and in doing so, completed the last couple of chapters in a half-assed manner... something I couldn't understand, considering she added yet another surprise in store at the very end. But I'm sure that whatever it was that caused her to do this will be explained in her next book (a sequel perhaps)? At any rate, this book was very entertaining and I would suggest giving it a try.

Comically Entertaining,

Jackie Collins doesn't write books in hopes of winning a Pulitzer Prize. They're meant to be humorous portrayals of the rich and famous. With Lethal Seduction, Ms. Collins is right on target. We're introduced to a slew of characters in two main storylines. The first involves a young woman named Madison Castelli and her friends and family. The other revolves around fading soap star Dexter Falcon and his spoiled, cheating wife, Rosarita, who is by far the funniest character in the novel. These stories take place separately in New York, but intertwine when the whole group goes to Vegas for a boxing match. All and all, a good book worthy of your time and money. This may be trash, but it's trash with style.

Pretty Good!,

This review is from: Lethal Seduction (Mass Market Paperback)
Although this book was in the Adult Section. I checked it out anyway. This book seemed to be a pornography book. When I read through, but in a way it wasn't. I believe the title was not well suited for the book. Lethal was okay by this book has nothing to do with seduction. This book was so mind-toppling with different personalities. Some characters were so put into life that it was quite funny. They seem to be the same person except for their issues and sexuality. Like Jamie's husband Peter which by surprise something happens that I won't mention. This book was not sought out as well. Their was to much profanity in there. The book seemed to surprise you, but in a way bore you because that word is found in their quite a few times. I would like to read another though!

Truly terrible,

I was looking for a good "trashy" book to read- this most definitely is not it. I was appalled by the numerous Writing 101 mistakes Ms. Collins continues to make: outrageous, simplistic stereotyping at every turn; lack of any suspense whatsoever, and so on. I could figure out what her cardboard characters were going to do long before the author "revealed" it. Like "Hollywood Wives" (which I also bought for [price]), here's another complete time waster. However, it is good for a laugh...

This is a typical Jackie Collins' novel and I love Jackie's novel, so I did enjoyed this book. I was a little disappointed at the end because I feel like there are still questions that did not get answered. I guess that just mean that she got another one coming. This is a good book, it will have you turning the pages quickly, to see what's next. I kind of enjoyed seeing what Rosarita got in the end, she deserved it. Good book, you will enjoy it, not so strong story line but what can you say, this is Jackie Collins.

A Guys Take,

Well, a good friend from Florida, who has a teriffic sense of humor, talked me into trying Jackie Collins. As a guy, all those strong willed women sort of, well, left me staggered and a liltte bashed. My friend reads alot, she has quite a mixed bag of interests. She did turn me onto DeMille, who I can get into. This plot was fun, sort of silly, but since I am a boxing enthusiast, I must say, a pretty decent book
