I highly recommend "Let's Be Heard" to anyone anxious about the direction our country is taking, the underlying reasons we are a nation in decline, and solutions we must adopt if we are to reverse our downward spiral. It is admirable that this Originator did not fall into the compromising merchandising mode of his proteges, like Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck, et.al.
For those who listened 5 days per week to Grant in New York, this is quite a nostalgic ride.

Unfortunately, that trip back to the '80s-'90s, involvees some serious bumps in the road: Grant's dreadful...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Light In The Dark, November 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
I highly recommend "Let's Be Heard" to anyone anxious about the direction our country is taking, the underlying reasons we are a nation in decline, and solutions we must adopt if we are to reverse our downward spiral. Mr. Grant writes the way he speaks - honestly, directly and with an historical perspective. His many chapters touch on the most critical issues facing the U.S. today, including sadly, how we are moving from "one nation under God" to becoming a fractious collection of ethnic nation states and special interest groups.

Mr. Grant decries the tyranny of Political Correctness, confiscatory tax policies, quotas, unchecked immigration and a lack of personal responsibility. He quite rightly identifies these issues as terrible threats to the future of our once great Republic.

Bob Grant is absolutely unafraid to call a fraud a fraud. He logically and forcefully pokes holes in the false premises & myths of the liberal elite and their willing accomplices in the media. If you are a Conservative or have a Libertarian streak, I urge you to read it -- you will find yourself nodding in agreement with every page you turn. If you are a Liberal, I challenge you to read this book, because if you can stand the whithering light of truth -- "Let's Be Heard" may change your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fearless, candid and full of common sense, November 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
"Let's Be Heard" should not be missed! This collection of essays should be required reading for every high school senior in America (it's too important to wait for college). LBH is an insightful, clearly written treatise on everything from the proper role of government in the lives of a free people, to taxation, immigration, and personal responsibility. Bob Grant is not afraid to expose the muddled thought of 'Limousine Liberals' and the inherent dishonesty of the leftist elite. With absolute candor and logic, Mr. Grant advances common-sense solutions to the most critical issues facing our nation.

5.0 out of 5 stars A voice of the silent majority, November 24, 2000
By
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Audio Cassette)
Bob Grant is the voice of the silent majority. He is the greatest radio talk show host; at the height of his fame in the 80s he was the most listned to man in New York City. He was so popular, so well liked and loved by so many listeners, his opposition did everything they could do to tear him apart, mostly lobbing false charges of racism. These were back in the days when if you said ANYTHING negative about David Dinkins or Al Sharpton you were labled "hate radio". Of course we know what failures those leaders are today. Bob Grant reserved caustic language for those people he thought were tearing the country apart. This of course angered many, and today we see the rise of "compassionate conservatism". Years from now we look back at Bob Grant and his message, and when America finally collapses to the decadent, the obcense, the power hungry, those who value their dollars more liberty, we will say, Bob Grant was RIGHT. Let's be heard, indeed!

5.0 out of 5 stars GET OFF MY PHONE!!!, March 10, 2007
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
This book holds the opinions of the greatest talk show host to ever grace the airwaves. Bob's style is copied by almost every talk show host out there today. Here in New York we are awaiting the return of the King of the airwaves. There is nothing decent to listen to during afternoon drive since Bob left in January of 2006. Bob's new tell all book is in the making now. We can't wait until it comes to Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Right On and Well Done, October 11, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
Bob Grant writes an interesting, informative book, which offers common sense, thought provoking insights into a variety of topics. I suspect that the individuals who have for years been slamming Grant, and are now criticizing this book, are the same individuals Bob rails against. Logically one has to ask, if you find the man so offensive, why are you listening to his show and buying his book? Perhaps the truth is that some people don't like the rest of us reading material which exposes the phonies, fakes, and frauds for what they are.

5.0 out of 5 stars He tells it as it is, September 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
Bob Grant is one of the few people in America today who is willing to take on some of the nonsense that has infected our society, without being a bigot. ( Even though some people not really familiar with him think that he is.) He takes on all of the nonsense with a sensibility seldom found in todays media. If some of our ultra liberal friends would read this book, they would find out that not only is Grant a decent person but that he makes great sense. I live in Florida where Grant is not available to me but when I lived in New York , I was an unabashed fan. I loved this book

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's Be Heard tells it like it is!, July 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
Bob Grant is a master of history and applies it to his radio skills. Like him, love him or hate him, he speaks from facts. His book tells of what he has to do to continue to speak the truth. Thank God WOR gave him another chance. His book is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bob Grant, a Bellwether for Sane People in a Nation Gone Mad, May 13, 2007
This review is from: Let's Be Heard (Paperback)
I'm so lucky to have this book in my library. Though Bob is off-the-air these days, I learned so much from him throughout the years that he was on New York radio. You'll learn a lot from this historian who has a PhD in psychology!
