My first Paladins CD,
By
This review is from: Let's Buzz (Audio CD)
I first heard the single "Follow Your Heart" in the summer of 1990. The local alternative station started playing the single on heavy rotation. I constantly left the radio on in hopes the DJ would play the song. I couldn't get enough. I never did catch the name of the band though. Three years later, it came to me in an epiphany. I bought the disc have fallen in love with the Paladins ever since. Ironically, the song I liked so much in the Summer of '90 is so atypical of their rock-a-billy forte. Instead of never listening to the disc again, it was like I was famished for more. Buy any (every) Paladins disc and you will never be disappointed.

One night at Carey's,
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Buzz (Audio CD)
The first time I heard the Paladins was at Carey's. I looked at Maloney and said "I have to have this". The tune was "Let's Buzz". This song alone will make you do the gator or the bug with the little lady. Throughout the disc the drums are always accurate and powerful. The guitar is as twangy as it should be. Try Kiddeo. Inspirational? Try Follow your Heart. The Bass? A hollow body Chello, need I say more? Folks, if you like midnite blues or summertime rockabilly, the Paladins do it!

The Paladins best album PERIOD!,
By SURFLBC "SURFLBC" (LONG BEACH,CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Let's Buzz (Audio CD)
This album by far is their strongest material and songwriting. I couldnt believe how good this CD was when it rolled out in spring of 1990!! Every song's a winner on this disc. Throw this on for friends that dont know of this band, I guarantee you will see their feet moving! The saddest part about all of this is that they are no longer a band! A real SHAME!!! Although being a huge fan, I recently caught the band on a one and done show at the Ink and Iron show in Long Beach, California in June of 2011. Needless to say they were FANTASTIC as usual!! They mentioned not even rehearsing for the show, thats how these professional roll! BUY ALL OF THEIR CD'S! SO GREAT!
