5.0 out of 5 stars My first Paladins CD
I first heard the single "Follow Your Heart" in the summer of 1990. The local alternative station started playing the single on heavy rotation. I constantly left the radio on in hopes the DJ would play the song. I couldn't get enough. I never did catch the name of the band though. Three years later, it came to me in an epiphany. I bought the disc have fallen in love with the Paladins ever since. Ironically, the song I liked so much in the Summer of '90 is so atypical of their rock-a-billy forte. Instead of never listening to the disc again, it was like I was famished for more. Buy any (every) Paladins disc and you will never be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars One night at Carey's, July 7, 1998

The first time I heard the Paladins was at Carey's. I looked at Maloney and said "I have to have this". The tune was "Let's Buzz". This song alone will make you do the gator or the bug with the little lady. Throughout the disc the drums are always accurate and powerful. The guitar is as twangy as it should be. Try Kiddeo. Inspirational? Try Follow your Heart. The Bass? A hollow body Chello, need I say more? Folks, if you like midnite blues or summertime rockabilly, the Paladins do it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Paladins best album PERIOD!, June 27, 2011
This review is from: Let's Buzz (Audio CD)
This album by far is their strongest material and songwriting. I couldnt believe how good this CD was when it rolled out in spring of 1990!! Every song's a winner on this disc. Throw this on for friends that dont know of this band, I guarantee you will see their feet moving! The saddest part about all of this is that they are no longer a band! A real SHAME!!! Although being a huge fan, I recently caught the band on a one and done show at the Ink and Iron show in Long Beach, California in June of 2011. Needless to say they were FANTASTIC as usual!! They mentioned not even rehearsing for the show, thats how these professional roll! BUY ALL OF THEIR CD'S! SO GREAT!

5.0 out of 5 stars UNBELIEVABLE - EVERYONE WHO HEARS THIS AGREES!, June 19, 2003

I'VE BEEN A MUSICIAN FOR 20 YEARS NOW (JUNE, 2003). I'VE HAD A BAND FOR A LONG TIME AND IT AMAZES ME THE REACTION THESE TUNES GET WHEN WE COVER THEM. THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE WRITING. YES,THE ENERGY AND PLAYING ARE HOTTER THAN A FLAMING STEEL MILL, BUT THEIR MATERIAL IS SO GOOD THAT IT GETS RAVES FROM THE CROWD WHEN COVERED BY NO NAME BANDS LIKE MINE. FOLKS ALWAYS ASK - "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" AND YOU CAN IMAGINE WHEN THE HEAR THE PALADINS. THE MATERIAL ON THIS RECORDING ARE TOP SHELF. THIS RECORDING IS A MUST. BESIDES THE TRUENESS TO ROCKABILLY, IT GOES BEYOND - ITS PALADINS AND THE HOOKS ARE STRONG! IT'S STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITES AFTER 10 YEARS OF PLAYIN IT NON-STOP.

THE ALBUM "LET'S BUZZ" BY THE PALADINS IS PRETTY GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT, AND IS NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS "PALVOLINE #7", THAT ON EIS A ROCKABILLY CLASSIC. I WOULDSKIP THIS ONE AND GET THAT ONE INSTEAD.
