Let's Connect is the first book I would recommend to someone if they would like to learn how to build an effective and efficient networking strategy. After reading the book for the first time you have many networking tips you can immediately apply. After that the table of contents helps the reader very well to go back to the part of their networking strategy they want to improve further. Since I have been an avid networker for years, the tips about networking on an event were more a good reminder (and I even discovered some tips to fine-tune some of my skills). What was rather new for me was the Golden Triangle of networking and also networking via online business networking websites. They helped even me to take networking to a higher level !

Networking is a new art and skill and a lot of people are starting to wake up to the fact realising that it is no longer an option but an essential skill. The problem is where and who to turn to in order to learn this vital skill? Secondary schools, universities and business schools don't even touch on it (yet), let alone study it in depth.
Time spent with a master lecturer called Jan Vermeiren on how to network effectively will give you clarity in a way that illuminates the path and mental approach that is so necessary for success in this crucial activity. In addition to his obvious knowledge, it is as much his manner and nature that convinces you that this is a man worth listening to who offers a wealth of experience and simple practical steps to ensure that your networking activities bring about the results you seek that will benefit your business.

"Let's connect" is a "how to" book for someone who is new to networking or out of practise. It is logical, with practical tips and tricks, and explains the different steps you have to take to get some results! It is especially focussed on offline networking although the author also covers the basics of online networking. Personally, I find it less useful for the experienced networker because he/she will probably not find enough new ideas to his/her taste, but "Let's connect" is the perfect gift for your nephew who is fresh out of college or your boss who hasn't attended a networking event since 1999 ;-)

An insightful book that taught me networking is about relationships. I liked learning about the "golden triangle" of networking; Giving, asking, and thanking. It is a simple, yet very effective way to build relationships, and will quickly build a strong network.

In the past I had many negative thoughts about networking.
This book changed my vision and live. Networking is not selling but an attitude. I'm very greatfull that I read this book.
It's practical and smooth to read. With this book information it's much easier for me to make contact with people, to help them and to reach my goals in life.

Taking the opportunity to review this latest accomplishment, I find it hard to separate the book from the man. Jan Vermeiren is one of those people that genuinely live the story that they tell. For me such integrity is highly stimulating. It demonstrates that in life you can make things happen. It shows that doing what is best All Things Considered, really does make things right - in whatever direction you choose to go. In this book Jan shares his extensive expertise in Networking. He is not only thorough in terms of what to do, he also gives easy-to-execute suggestions on how to do it. This mix of theory and practice will immediately launch you into effective networking, as it did for me. Very powerful indeed
