When I saw this book in the store I was drawn to it becuase of its
beautiful luminous cover. The inside was just as lovely. It may not be explicit but that does not detract from it. It has helpful tips on body types, clothing, eyes and expressions. The two boys who are chapter guides grow up as they progress through the book, a cute idea. The complete portraits of yaoi couples types are beautiful. Just enjoy them for what they are lovely portraits. I liked the book enough to buy two, one to use and one to save. Highly recommended!

i just got the free sample,

i got the sample, and it was very long, and explains perspective, the body, the head, muscles, hair, eyes, clothes etc. In other words, you can learn to draw just from the sample, if your a quick learner, and have some basic previous drawing experience.

not so great,

It's fine for beginners but the anatomy is horrible and it's not worth buying for the Kindle. The Kindle version has no formatting and is almost impossible to read.
This really isn't a good book for people trying to lean basic anatomy. It tends toward over generalizing and over stylizing before learning basics.
