5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Health Information that WORKS!
Adele Davis' classic descriptions of vitamins, minerals and what they do should be on every one's shelf. She got it right and her classic books are the standard for getting and staying well. After all, body structure and chemistry have not changed and her suggestions and remedies WORK. It is a shame she is not still around to apply her expetise to some of today's tough...

3.0 out of 5 stars What's healthy?
I have my doubts about a health advisor that dies before the average person does. Oh, well, I think I'll go read the running book by Jim Fixx instead ...

Adele Davis' classic descriptions of vitamins, minerals and what they do should be on every one's shelf. She got it right and her classic books are the standard for getting and staying well. After all, body structure and chemistry have not changed and her suggestions and remedies WORK. It is a shame she is not still around to apply her expetise to some of today's tough health problems, but, she has left us with the basics to keep our bodies and immune systems tip top. This is a "go to first" book for many major health problems or to just "stay fit." Chances are, what ails you is a deficiency or combo of one. Just what are you deficient in? Check to see if the information works for you!!! The best part of the whole book is the Index. Use it well.

5.0 out of 5 stars MD's today are coming around to Adele's advise., November 26, 2003

This review is from: Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit (Signet) (Paperback)
At last our medical profession are giving us the same advise Adele Davis gave us years ago. It is such a shame it took them so long to understand that it is nutrition not drugs that keep us healthy. Before I ever paid a visit to my Doctor I always checked Adele's book first and nine times out of ten she saved me that visit . If I could purchase antibiotics over the counter it would have saved me that visit .

5.0 out of 5 stars Sound excellent book on eating nutricionally., December 17, 2011

This review is from: Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit (Signet) (Paperback)
This is the companion book to Let's Cook Right to Keep Fit. This contains the charts and lists that help you figure out what amount of what you need to include in your diet to keep your body chemistry functioning at optimal power. This is how I survived severe on-the-job toxic poisoning and continue to function at age 67 doing a high stress job that requires a brain functioning at optimum power.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nutrition Bible! Best Book on Nutrition!, April 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This has always been my favorite nutrition book, the only one I use. Even now, you can go back and open it anywhere and learn something eye-opening about health and nutrition. Like many mental illnesses and almost everything else can be traced to a nutritional deficiency! Love it!
