This is not a particularly well known movie, but it really is quite good. In particular Robert Duvall's performance is excellent. Lot's of good action and good acting...well worth a look.

5.0 out of 5 stars No DVD available?, February 18, 2006
This review is from: Let's Get Harry [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I saw this movie in a theater during my early teens. It is one of the most entertaining movies I saw at that time and so I thought that I would see it again. Unfortunately, due to heavy load of school work, I totally forgot about seeing it again. But, after all these years, I still haven't forgotten the title of the movie. Seldom do a movie make an impact that I remember anything about it. I especially remember the soundtrack of Let's Get Harry. Although I can't sing the lyrics, I can hum the melody. How's that? So now I am now hoping for the DVD version to buy.

I think this is one of the earlier movies that Mark Harmon starred in. Bonus with the presence of Robert Duval and none other than Glen Frey of the Eagles and yes, Gary Busey has a key part and is not bad at all. Story line revolves around Harmon who is a construction engineer kidnapped while managing a major dam project in South America. His family back home hears of the kidnapping and after receiving no help at all from officials of the U.S. Government, decides to put together a team of amateurs to recover Mark. They hire on a couple of pro`s(Duval a burned out mercenary and Frey a retired drug pilot). Busey, who owns a chevrolet dealership is the guy who agrees to provide the money for the trip and goes along himself. Well, I`ll just say that it ends up being fast paced, mildly humorous, guns blazing nip and tuck stuff that is just great fun to watch. Try it. You`ll like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's Get Harry, August 21, 2010
When this movie was originally released, I rented it a lot of times. There is plenty of action and the story line is good. The cast is well chosen and Gary Busey acted well in this one. The stars of the movie are many in their own right and role. Did I mention there is a lot of action?: Bullets flying, tense moments, etc.I highly recommend this movie to any audience.

5.0 out of 5 stars One-liners flow as Busey and gang mount a rescue mission, April 14, 1999

This review is from: Let's Get Harry [VHS] (VHS Tape)
It's a shame this video is no longer available in stores! I've only read poor reviews of this movie, but Gary Busey fans will delight at his most colourful characterisation of all time as car salesman Smilin' Jack Abernaugthy. A touch unbelievable at times - well maybe all the time - but delivers a fine serving of action. Robert Duval contributes his talents as the short-lived mercenary Shrike. We also discover that the would-be tough guy of group turns into a chicken when asked to kill.

Trust me, this one's a must for all B-grade action fans!
