What You Waiting For? "Let's Get LOUD", July 23, 2000
This review is from: Let's Get Loud (Audio CD)
First of all this CD has killer remixes that when you first listen to it, it make you smile and want to dance. People, This single has great dance remixes of "Let's Get LOUD" they are not "Tacky Ten Minute Dance Remixes" like the "Waiting For Tonight" remixes infact they are about as long as the regular version of the song but sound nothing like each other! This may not be Jennifer Lopez's best song but I am positive that this is one of her best remixed songs. If you people heard the "Waiting For Tonight" remixes and didn't like them because Jennifer Lopez is not singing that much, well than this single is nothing like that, even the longest track which is 8:08 m:s long Jennifer is still singing with her last breath. If you Don't like the original version of the song I am sure if you heard one of the remixes you would just fall in love with it. None of the remixes are slow!
Track listing!
track one: Is the "Album version" if you have Jennifer Lopez's Debut CD "On the 6" than you know what this sounds like. If you Don't have Jennifer Lopez's Debut CD "On the 6" than let me tell you that your in for a surprise.
track two: Is the "Kung Pow Radio Mix" which is a Dance remix that sound great but it doesn't sound as good as the 4th remix on this single. People if you think "kung Pow" sounds kind of oriental and you think thats what this song sounds like than think again your in for a surprise.
Track Three: Is the "Castle hill Club Mix" and this is remixed by the same people that remixed the "Kung Pow" version of "Let's Get LOUD" but let me tell you this remix sound totally different. For all you club folks this is the longest remix with the time breaking record of 8:08 m:s long. Just a reminder, this track may be long but You get to here Jennifers voice through out the whole thing there are no big pauses of anything, it sounds great.
Track four: Is the "Matt & Vito's Live your life Radio edit" and this is bye far my favorite track. This has a really fast beat that makes your heart start pumping crazy. At the end of this song it leaves you wanting more, who know's maybe the'll have a extended version later.
This CD is a must buy even if it's just for the cover which may I add is a wonderful picture of jennifer. This song is so great it is a shame it wont be realeased in the USA. I hope I have helped you come to your sences and make you buy this CD which is worth the money.

No US release??? BIG MISTAKE!!!, September 5, 2000
This review is from: Let's Get Loud (Audio CD)
First the tracks: 1. Album Version 3:58 2. Kung Pow Radio Mix 3:57 3. Castle Hill Club Mix 8:08 4. Matt & Vito's Live Your Life Radio Edit 1 4:11 This track is a great song written for Jennifer by the diva herself, Gloria Estefan. It harkens back to Gloria's early days with Miami Sound Machine. It's a very Latin-driven, funky, and definitely FUN song. "Let's get loud. Let's get loud. Turn the music up to hear that sound. Let's get loud." The original, album version is great. In fact, some of the clubs here got tired of waiting for the remixes and played this version. It was still upbeat enough to cause the crowd to go wild. The second track is marred by a really annoying "oom pah pah" synth line that finally gets lost in the layers during the second half of the song. By this time the song kicks into gear...POOF!, it's over. I hoped the third track, which is an extended version of the second would pick up the tempo some....not really. It's a good mix, but it it never really kicks into high gear. It uses more of the piano line to keep the rhythm going which is really cool. The fourth track is INCREDIBLE!!! It takes the song into a layered, synth trip that is like a combination of a Hex Hector mix and a Thunderpuss mix. It has a trance feel as well as a peak hour anthem feel to it. There is a voice altered "Let's Get Loud" that runs through it, while Jennifer jams through it. According to DMA magazine, there is an extended mix of this at the clubs that runs 11:19. If anybody finds a copy of it, LET ME KNOW! The radio edit of it is worth buying this single. Pure hard-core dance. I can't complement it enough. Why the record company is not releasing this domestically is beyond me. It definitely is the strongest of her songs from her CD.
