This review is from: Dexter Season 1 (Amazon Instant Video)
The good looking guy next door that is quiet and just trying to get along, but has a secret. The thing is you understand him when he admits that he just doesn't get the rituals that seem to be required of living in the world with so called normals. Then every once in a while you get that look of dark delight that says Dexter is going to get to play. The thing is, you really want him to, since when he does, another monster goes down. The last episode has a little fantasy, where everyone loves Dexter and celebrates what he has been doing. We really do wish in a way that there was a monster with values that would prey on the other monsters out there. The sad truth is that he would not be accepted any more than the monsters he preys on. He knows it too. What a great series. I wish that I had read the book first.
