This video is the best of good children's entertainment. Mac Parker serves up good information, gentle humor, and a true love of storytelling, which combine to make an enjoyable, nonviolent movie. My two year old twins watch this movie at least once a day. When boredom sets in, I'm bound to be accosted with two little people clamoring "Farm movie! Farm movie!" I'm comfortable letting them watch it as many times as they like, even though I don't normally allow them to watch television. "Let's Go To the Farm" is so engaging, I don't even mind watching it myself. This film is a must have for rural and urban children alike.

My daughter (2 years 2 months old) absolutely loves this video. I picked it out at our library because it looked good but never could have guessed just how good it is. We've had to watch it every night since we took it out and she sits entranced for the whole hour it's on. All the while, she comments about things going on in the video and when it's over I hear "Watch it again?". This is one that will entertain the kids and not drive parents crazy. I ordered it after night two and also found out there is a brand new one called "Mac Parker's Farm Stories" which was just released.

Everything about this video is just right: the music is uptempo but soothing at at the same time, the action is well-paced, educational without being preachy. There are very few kids videos that can approach the quality of this one. Life on Elgin Spring Farms is good.

This is one of the best children's videos that our 3 children have ever seen. The pace is just right, taking you through the seasons on the farm, and it teaches and entertains. Don't be surprised to see your children waving goodbye to their friends in this video when it ends....

I grew up on a Dairy farm and as I watched this video with my 3 year old daughter I was amazed at how similar this was to my own experiences on the farm.

For my Daughter it is the only video that she cries when it gets to the end. Not because it is a sad ending but because it is over. END

A friend of the family gave this movie to us (her boys are now grown) and my little one loves anything 'farm.'

It is really a good video. Not annoying, nice pace, funny, informative. My son likes talking about 'seasons' after watching this as they do it based on a full year. It's based on a dairy farm, but they do a clip on maple syrup and on logging.

If this movie 'dies' we will buy another one. It's the only 'video' my son watches.

My now four year old could not watch this enough when she was a toddler. My mom found it at a yard sale or something- you never know what will pique your kids interest. Now, I have an 18 month old up at night sometimes with a bellyache. I used to have to walk & pace with him to make him happy. NOW, I just put in the video & rest next to him while he watches. Sometimes he watches it at night three times in a row. I don't feel guilty- and have to admit sometimes I even enjoy it. Kind of sickening :) My mom (grandma) loves it & watches it for fun! HA! I think his voice is soothing to children & they love seeing real life farm stuff!
I pray the video lasts til he's over this phase- although my four year old still enjoys it!

Not too slow, not too fast, informational but not technical, this has been a favorite in our house for years and years. My 7 year old daughter still asks to watch this, just as she did when she was a toddler. All of our kids love it, and it is nice to have on because I actually like it too! This is the ONLY vhs tape we hung onto when we got rid of our tapes...as a matter of fact, the sole reason we recently bought a vhs/dvd combo when our old one died was so we could still watch "Elgin Spring Farm Movie"!
