The Best so far,

This review is from: Barney: Let's Go To the Farm (DVD)
We got it from the Library last week and I haven't been able to return it yet! I think it's been played 100 times already(seems like it anyway) My DD who hasn't been talking a whole lot - all of a sudden is saying "FARM, FARM" asking for it by name.
What more could you ask for? This Barney takes you outside the usual playhouse and people. You get to visit different places at a real farm. See lots & lots of real animal footage. And lots of different animals. (Unlike the Zoo DVD which only seems to have a few). And real people - grownups. Holds my attention better than any other Barney movie out there and I don't like Barney too much. Has lots of Nursery Rhymes related to the the animals. Baa Baa Black Sheep Little Boy Blue Little Bo Peep Turkey in the Straw, etc. Love it.

My son is 17 months and now has 5 barney vids and maybe A.D.D. Let me tell you he does not like any of them as much as this one. He is in a trance when this one is on, he loves it so much. This vid has some better production and songs than the others I have seen. I was not going to allow the big purple guy in the house but the vids seem harmless enough (my mother actually gave this as a gift). He will sit thru the ENTIRE video without budging. He giggles when I put it in and my son hates TV!!!!
Overall a 5 star rating for a kid that had trouble doing something for more than 5 minutes.

The Easter bunny bought this for my two year old, and she watches it every day. Overall, she's not into tv, but 'Barney on the Farm' is a daily must. Moms beware, you will fall asleep and wake up singing the songs! This is definitely the best movie I've gotten my daughter. She has forgotten all of her other Barney movies, and keeps this one on repeat. Don't hesitate to buy this one!

I bought this for my 3 years old and i thought it will be very interesting and attractive but i discovered that it is not. The farm activities are not interesting and they don't interact alot with animals or even nature so close so my child didn't find something attractive in this video, even the songs are not like other barney songs. I already bought him best manners DVD and that one much more attractive and interesting. However on this DVD you will find some games that may attract your child even more the video like the animals sounds.

This really is a captivating DVD. My daughter who is almost 3 and is more of a Dora fan, still fell for this DVD when I rented it from the library. I too had a problem about returning this to the library. Since she already has about 5 Barney DVD's and not 1 Dora, I am planning to buy her a Dora. But would advise that this is a great buy for any avid Barney watcher.

Our first Barney,
This review is from: Barney: Let's Go To the Farm (DVD)
This was the first Barney video that I purchased for my granddaughter. She had been watching the Baby Einstein videos, but as soon as she saw this Barney video, she was hooked. I might as well throw out the Wiggles and Baby Einstein videos. It has to be the big purple guy or nothing. The only complaint my family has is that we have these songs trapped in our heads all day and even hear them in our sleep!

great for little animal lovers,
This review is from: Barney: Let's Go To the Farm (DVD)
I bought this for my 19 month old daughter, who is my third child. We had lots of Barney videos for our oldest child when she was little, but the middle child didn't care for him so we had given most of the old vhs tapes to friends. When I saw this I had to get it for Maisy because she wants anything with sheep in it. We have several "barnyard" type videos, like I said, anything with a sheep, and this is the best one.
I love all the animal footage, even though all she really notices is the "BAAAAA." All the rest of the animals are kitties to her, but she loves it and she loves the animals and wants to pet the screen. Unlike many parents, I have never been a Barney hater. I always thought he was pretty good but since my earlier Barney experiences nearly ten years ago, he has improved even more. If your child likes animals, especially farm animals, you need this in your collection!

On purpose I have 'introduced' my granddaughter to Barney, much to my son's chagrin (laughing while I write this). Seriously though, she has another video and this one didn't appeal as much because it had far more talking in it than music. She is only one year old and is more drawn to the music and bright colors of the other video. Other than that, this is a fine one, especially for a child a bit older, say around 2ish.

***Parent Annoyance Meter Rating: 2*** (1= not annoying whatsoever, I would watch this without my child - 5=If I have to watch this again, someone better bring me a straitjacket)
This is one of the better Barney videos. It is really sweet with all the animals and was great preparation for when we took my two-year-old to the pumpkin patch. She knew what everything was, including the hay ride thanks to "Let's Go To the Farm." I recommend this one for sure.
