Perfect for preparing your child for Preschool!,

This review is from: Let's Go to School (Book and CD) (Paperback)
With our daughter going to preschool for the 1st time after most of her life being at her mama's side I knew I needed to prepare her to going to school. I remeber seeing a book about the Night before Kindergarten and thought that there had to be a book on the Night before Preschool. But when I went to our local bookstore they didn't have a that book in stock. But while walking around the children's audio and book section low and behold hanging right at my eye level was this book and cd!So, since we have 5 days before school we began reading this book and also listening to the cd in our car. The cd has 2 versions of the story. The 1st story is read while you are looking at the book and there is a little ding that tells your child to turn the page. And the 2nd reading of the book is just that the story read all the way through with no stopping. The story is about Periwinkle's first day of preschool at and in Blue's classroom. Periwinkle starts the morning before school excited, but as they walk up to school becomes worried. Worries that any small child would feel. By sseeing how Periwinkle's 1st day and then talking about the story helps prepare your child for thier 1st day of school. The only thing I am not crazy about... or wish they hadn't mentioned was when it's lunch time Periwinkle and a classmate trade desserts. Now, I know that happens in Elementary school and I think it would be frowned upon / no allowed in Preschool. So, between this book, another awesome book called the Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn and a small photo album with pictures of our family, our daughter should be more prepared to go to preschool!
