I've been a Benny Mardones fan for 22 years, and must say that this album is one of his best yet. For all those that have said he can't sing any more, I suggest you listen to this and readjust your opinion. No, this is not his previous "in-your-face-rock-n-roll", but "The Voice" is still strong and true, and continues to ring emotion out of the heart of the listener. I, for one, am extremely grateful he decided to do this album. Thank you, Benny, for 22 years of memories! You just keep getting better!

Heard this for the first time last night in Syracuse where Benny made a personal appearance at Carousel Mall. For all of you that thought Benny was gone, there was proof last night that he is better than ever! He stopped the line twice to do live performances and brought the house down. This Train is absolutely gorgeous, and the Just for You song written for Tommy Piraino was a tear jerker that showed the depth of Benny's talents, whether writing, singing, or sharing with the many fans in Syracuse. Do yourself a favor and order this today, this CD brings a whole new meaning to the word passion and compassion. Thank you Benny!

In Benny's hiatus from music he came back proving you CAN go home again!
This CD is awesome and will have you smiling, crying and cheering, especially when he introduces Eddie Money..another gem!
These songs are introspective and gives us an insider look as to what this talented man is all about.
I for one am THRILLED that Benny's back and for some of us die hard fans..he never left our minds and hearts!
I encourage old fans and new to pick up this CD..you won't have any regrets and may find yourself touting the praises of this truly talented man!

My first thought was (since I was carefully listening to the lyrics) - they are all sappy love songs...but then, as Benny easily can do, I was taken away by his voice and completely lulled away. It is now my cd of choice to fall asleep to. It's not really a cd you want to do chores to, since they are way too mellow, but Benny's voice will take you away everytime you listen to it. Benny has a most incredible voice, I hope his next cd will be more like his older cd's w/some upbeat songs. Benny - please don't ever stop sharing your gifted voice w/the world!

The poor album cover and lame title through me off, here. Press "PLAY" and INSTANTLY you are locked into a perfect slow groove pop/rock ballad, Forever Hypnotized. Benny's voice is a bit weathered by now, which works perfectly with the personal, heartfelt lyrics.

Benny co-wrote all of these songs with the producer Jim Erwin and they have a much more authentic feel than his last 2 albums Stand By Your Man and Bless a Brand New Angel. Both of those albums were great, but a little too glossy sounding. Plus, all the different writers made them a bit inconsistant. Both are very good albums, but Let's Hear it for Love is far better.

Continuing on, we have the quiet tear-jerker The Train Don't Stop Here Anymore, the hauntin Innocent Girl and a few peaceful love songs like Could we Fall in Love Again and When the Lights Go Out. These are NOT your typical sappy love songs. This is the real thing.

As for the title track....Eddie Money co-wrote and sings the 2nd verse. It's great to hear Benny and Eddie together. Let's hear it for a tour together, maybe???
