Learning German Words through Art, May 24, 2007

Generally I don't like coloring books. I'd rather see children create their own art, however since I am taking my grandchildren to Germany this summer, it was an easy way to get them to learn some words and sounds of the German language. They will go at least knowing a few basic words, and that will add to their enjoyment. It takes some time to color the pictures and I encouraged them to say the word in German over and over while they were coloring. A test followed! They got it!
