The Chandler Travis Philharmonic should not be missed!!!,
By Brian Bilick (Somerville, MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Let's Have a Pancake! (Audio CD)
Wow!! This is indeed the most mainstream album they have put out to date. The Chandler Travis Philharmonic is one of the most creative, musical, funny and hardest working bands around, and this album is a mere glimpse at what they have to offer. If they are in your area GO!!!! You will get your moneys worth when you fill their tips bucket and be highly entertained. 'Got To Let Go Sometime' would make the best single release (as far as what is played on the Radio these days), as well as 'Nature Boy', 'This is Home', 'Stay Like That' and 'That's What She Said'. All of these songs have mixes of POP music styles, with influences you can hear from the Beatles, Kinks and Elvis Costello. The songwriting is truly original with many sides that can be: commiserate, funny, and instantly recognizable, and so are all the players, and the performances (when you catch them live.)

Ahhh the man from Buswell Street hits all the notes but missing still is his famous " Theme From Perry Mason " and hearts will not sleep until we have heard it reprised.
