Let's Play the Piano and All Those Keyboards,
By Ann Horner (Bay Area, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Let's Play the Piano [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have been using the library copy of this video and it is excellent. The problem I have is that there is constant reference to the written materials that go with it. The library didn't have them and the copy I have coming from another site doesn't either. It would certainly be easier to do the playing with the written music. The video has very clear explanations and practice guidelines.

This video and other videos,

This review is from: Let's Play the Piano [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is not all that bad. The author tried his best and gives a lot of information and compared to most, it is more thorough. The reviewer from Lubbock, Texas who claims that you should not bother with any videos and only a teacher completely misses the point. It's like saying, don't go to the library and get books, go to school! One is not a substitute for the other! They can work synergistically with each other!

Get a well-qualified piano teacher,
By A Customer
This review is from: Let's Play the Piano [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you really want to learn to PLAY (not bang on) the piano, get a well-qualified piano teacher instead of a product like this. You really need a teacher to show you how to play with proper technique and style. There's no such thing as a short-cut piano method; not if you're serious about playing expressively, that is.
