Big band classics with top-notch modern sound.,

Enoch light and a first-class band of studio musicians have recorded fourteen big band classics in their original arrangements, but with modern recording fidelity. Thus this CD gives us performances identical to the originals by such legendary big bands as Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman but in far better fidelity than was available when these bands originally recorded. If you like big band music but would like to have it in modern high-fidelity stereo, this album is for you. It really is outstanding.

Bargain bin swing,

I dragged this disc out of the bargain bin, with no regrets. Light's orchestra covers many familiar tunes and doesn't mangle any of them. However, these are just straight covers with none of the "space-age pop" tweaks or embellishments found on other Enoch Light albums.
