...and nothing proves the point more than listening to this brilliant album and then reading the 200-plus reviews found here. Celine's voice is truly distinctive, incredibly wide-ranging in pitch and style -- and guaranteed to make you love her or (God help you) hate her as an artist.
Yes, this album is "commercial" -- but it's the very opposite of heartless. Yes, it's slickly produced -- but what's wrong with perfection in arrangement and performance? Yes, she pulls in a lot of big names on this album -- but isn't she humble in their presence and amazed to call them friends? Yes, Celine is first and last a singer -- but since when does that make an artist lack integrity? Yes, I think some of the songs on the album aren't worth singing by Celine or anybody else; we don't need more bad attitudes in the world. (That's the only reason I gave this album 4 stars.) Should that detract from the many really excellent tracks, like my personal favorites (the remake of "When I Need You", "My Heart Will Go On", and "To Love You More")? That's what programming on CD players is for: to let one pick what he likes to hear...
Celine, don't let your detractors get you down. Just keep on keeping on and (if you have to) cry all the way to the bank.

If you thought she could not get any higher, well here she comes again to prove you wrong.
After that FALLING INTO YOU earned all possible awards and prizes, this one will leave you breathless if only due to the amazing list of guest stars partcipating into this project.
As usual Celine leaves it in the hands of Foster, Afanasieff and Wake (love his dance production on JUST A LITTLE BIT OF LOVE) as main producers.
But this time around she's added something extra: and the little extra is Barbra Streisand (TELL HIM is the duet that i had been dreaming forever...), Luciano Pavarotti (hey, i'm italian...let's admit it, this duet is a joke: her voice just don't blend with his and he will never ever be a pop singer...).
She has a better way with The Bee Gees on IMMORTALITY, or even featuring raggae # 1 lady Diana King on TREAT HER LIKE A LADY.
Point is, she just don't stop at guest vocalists: Carole KIng co-wrote THE REASON, which was produced by legendary Sir George Martin.
Both Bryan Adams and Jean Jacques Goldman collaborate on the titletrack.
And let's not forget this album contains what by now is considered by most Celine's signature song, MY HEART WILL GO ON from the TITANIC soundtrack.
I know some 3 songs written by Diane Warren, Jim Steinman and Rick Nowels did not make the final track list, but even so...this album is worth buying.
Especially if you are a Cory Hart fan: 2 beautiful songs written by the man himself are included...finally he's getting some due recognition in the arena!
Her class and voice will move you to no end.

Celine Dion's 1997 release LETS TALK ABOUT LOVE embraces you in a message of love. The album contains soft ballads, rock, movie themes, duets, and opera. The one song that hits me the most and has become my best favorite from the album is Track 14-TO LOVE YOU MORE. A passionate ballad with a very elegant violin opening, the song sorts of like a response to BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME in the previous release.
The producers of this album (Vito Luprano and John Doelp) have saved the best for last in the album. Track 15-LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE is sort of like the kind of song you'll hear in Olympics closing, like AMIGOS POR SIMPRE (Barcelona Games 1992). Celine is joined by a children choir in this heart-warming piece. Track 13-I HATE YOU THEN I LOVE YOU (duet with Luciano Pavarotti) will share the merit with LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE as my second favorite from the album. It's a beautiful opera song. As Celine has noted, Luciano is the greatest tenor in the world and she had been secretly hoping to sing a love song with him.
Speaking of popularity, everyone will agree that Track 12-MY HEAR WILL GO ON (theme from Titanic) is the most popular piece in this album. James Horner had do an incredible job on the music score for the film. The music is stunning, breathtaking, and heart-pounding. Cameron (Titanic director) originally did not want to have a vocal theme but instrmentals. After listening to Celine's demo of MY HEART WILL GO ON, Cameron adopted the song as the movie theme. The movie version (as recorded on the Titanic soundtrack) is slightly different. The arrangement is better in this version recorded in Celine's album. The very last four songs, Tracks 12, 13, 14, and 15 are my personal picks and have made the album worth to buy. The album, however, has some other jewels.

This last entire english new material album from Celine Dion shows a more mature side of her talent, and proves that the succes of "Falling Into You" was not a passer-by one but instead the entrance to the Diva-world. "Let's Talk About Love" is by far the best album modern pop has ever produced during the past 20 years to say the least. There are simply too much stars involved in the recording of this album. There are practically no mistakes and there is a great coherence and cohesion between all of the tracks. No way this could ever be boring simply because it has a great diversity, starting with the common excellent well produced diva-pop and ending with a hip-hop cover and one or two extremely danceable songs. The album begins with "The Reason", a top vocal track which features the help of role model Carole King. On the following track The Bee Gees appear both as songwriters and as fellow singers turning "Immortality" into and very emotional and romantic song. On her hip-hop effort, Celine is being hepled by jamaican Diana King and Brownstone treesome. In fact, this one is a cover of Diana's 1995 "Treat her like a lady". "Tell Him" is the star duet on this album,Ms Dion teenage years' inspiration Barbra Streisand, having an important role in the succes of the song. It is overproduces, nevertheless tiresome. Still it is simple and clear, making it one of the most enjoyable musical experiences ever. There's also another beautiful cover on the album, "When I Need You", which goes on great with Celine's voice. The last duet is with classical singer Luciano Pavarotti turning on a more serious side of pop music, a more classical one.Read more ›
