5.0 out of 5 stars Made a difference November 13, 2008
Format:Paperback
I have a 3 year old daughter who is a little behind with her talking. Since I started using the activities in this workbook, she's picked up several new words, and she's started to talk in short phrases. I like the book because the activities all have of the same format (target/materials/procedure), they're easy to do during our day-to-day routines, and they work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for young ones August 17, 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is geared towards young children about the age of 15 months up to age 2. Unless the child is not advanced then 3 would be fine. I found very helpful advice and it actually worked and made learning fun. It is so difficult to get children to cooperate especially when you want them to. Assessments are done all the time at day cares, playschools, and doctor offices so we need to work with our children on a daily basis as well. This book will help every parent successful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's Talk Together workbook June 21, 2009
Format:Paperback
The activities in this book are well-written, concise and actually fun to do with my toddler. The authors are very knowledgeable and have provided meaningful, progressive instruction that allows me to easily incorporate many of the speech-encouraging exercises into our everyday routine. The Baby Babble DVD is a great accompaniment to this workbook. It shows the authors engaging children in some of the speech/language exercises from the workbook and also demonstrates basic sign language, as well as providing parents with a guideline to help their babies/toddlers develop early language skills. Not to mention, it keeps my son well entertained!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book with fun activities for hands-on learning November 16, 2008
Format:Paperback
I ordered "Let's Talk Together" from Amazon after seeing my daughter's language improve from the Baby Babble videos. This book provides easy-to-follow ideas that promote speech in all aspects of a child's life. It has numerous activities you can do at home to help stimulate speech. Each activity has well defined instructions including:
1. Target of the activity (the goal)
2. Materials needed
3. Words to practice (divided into 3 levels)
4. Procedure
I have already implemented many of the activities into our daily routine and as a result, I have seen many improvements in my daughter's speech. This is a must have for all parents and professionals who work with
children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny! January 23, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is fantastic! I wanted some guidance on how to help my toddler (18 month old) to talk. I got the Baby Babble DVD also by this books authors and thought it was a complete waste of money. However, when I first got the book I was soooo excited. It is very user friendly with simple to do activities. I have no training in speech therapy and needed to know what sounds are easier to form and what words to introduce first with flashcards. I got everything I expected and more from this book. As instructed in the book I picked out two activities to introduce my first week........it has been 5 days since my husband and I started and my son knows 6 new words!!!!!!!!! yay~ he can even recognize them written (since we used flashcards too). He spent the last 20 minutes telling me how his doggie has eyes and teeth so I felt that I should write a review of this book ASAP! Really, my sons first three words were Mama, Dada, and Elmo so I knew I needed to help him figure out how to say other things. If you have the time, dedication, and patience to do these verbal activities everyday this is the book for you. I have also got the Baby Can Read program which is useless for helping your child to talk but if you work on the verbal aspect using this book in conjunction with other educational materials (like baby can read) your child will be learning so quickly. No lie...my son actually gets my flashcards and brings them over to me to practice! But realistically flashcards can be borning and learning to talk is more complicated than that. With this book as a guide I have been able to teach my son how to form sounds that comprise words and build from there to teach him how to point and identify pictures and words and use those words in his play.......AWESOME.... 4.0 out of 5 stars Good for parents who want to help their little ones February 17, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Let's Talk Together...is a neat little workbook (perhaps a little pricey for the size)that gives parents of late talkers some useful ideas they can weave into their every day play, to encourage their child to begin imitating sounds, using oral muscles, and begin using some simple sounds to begin to communicate. It's worth considering!

Great book. Lots of good ideas on how to work play into speech therapy for your little ones. Haven't used it a lot yet, but I love all the details on what you need, and what to do. If you have late talkers, not a bad idea to get this book for some great ideas on what to do with your kids.
