This book has the full text of the two important documents. It also has study questions and some definitions of words that might be unfamiliar to schoolchildren. Good type size and choice of font.
However, the copy I received was put together wrong, so that the pages were numbered like this: 8, 11, 12, 9, 10, 13, 14 and later 48, 51, 52, 49, 50, 53, 54 Sloppiness in manufacturing does not do justice to the author.

This essay is a must read. It goes deep into the thought process of Dr. King as it relates to the awful act of racial inequality. He affirms his belief in 'non violence' and how best to use this tool to fight injustice.
There's more to the'I have a Dream' speech than the piece played over & over annually. It goes deeper into the social injustices, the treatment of Blacks as 2nd class citizens due to discrimination, but, as he said quite eloquently if we truly accept that we were all created equally and work together as a people every thing will be alright.

Faith, faithfulness, courage, steadfast devotion to true moral principle.
The truths in King's message should be renewed, revived and promoted throughout society. |
