the first couple of listens, i was a little disappointed..but it gets much better after repeated listenings. the production quality isn't all there, but it has heart..and bret michaels is a hell of a songwriter..his lyrics are often funny, poignant, touching, etc. i guess my faves on here are 'human zoo' and 'times like these', both of which would please any Poison fan. i actually give this record 3 & 1/2 stars. i love poison, but still look forward to bret's solo career. see ya!

I love everything Poison has ever done and when Bret put out a solo CD, I had my doubts, but this album is awesome. It helps to see the movie to understand some of the songs and where they come from, but his vocal ability and incredible songwriting speak for themselves. Bret is my favorite artist of all time and while I hope Poison is always together I look forward to future solo albums from Bret. He flat out rocks!!!

Bret Michaels has done it again! Don't buy this expecting to hear another CD with the Poison sound, though. Michaels has captured in this music the raw emotions of love, sex, cynicism, and rage -- this music is blues, rock, ballad, all rolled into one fantastic music experience. With the exception of a couple of tracks (too much rap influence in these, sorry!), the songs show the broad range of Bret Michaels' talent. Especially great are "Party Rock Band", "The Last Breath", "The Devil Inside", and "69". All I can say is "WOW"! Bret, don't quit writing. I'm starved for more great music like this!

It's great to see that Bret Michaels is doing so well. I saw the movie, and I have to admit it was better than I thought it be,(not that it could be bad, I mean it was made by Bret Michaels}.It was in my opinion the best movie made recently. The music speaks for itself. It shows how talented a song writer(among other things}Bret Michaels is.

Bret Michaels' solo album is everything that Poison fans have been waiting for since Native Tongue came out. Bret is in top shape both in terms of singing and songwriting. What makes this album such a gem is Bret realizes what many in the field of 80's pop-rock don't: That the party couldn't last forever. And this knowledge added to the trademark Poison rock sound makes this album brilliant, rather than naive. It is definitely a great purchase for anyone who never gave up on good-time rock 'n' roll.

I think to the many in the "main streem" music seen, this album would be easy to look over. Lets face it, "Hair metal" went south for the winter for most people. With lots of old "Hair bands" getting new contracts the time is right for the return of this type of music, THANK GOD!! This album is fresh, unlike so many other albums out today. It is good old fashion rock n roll, with one who knows how to rock. I look forward to Poison getting it back together and hearing them live doing "Party Rock Band!!" Welcome back Bret!!!

I got Bret's CD at his show on September 26th at the ROXY THEATRE in West Hollywood,Ca. It's a great CD and I don't give a darn what other people say. Party Rock Band not only describes him a bit but C.C. DeVille plays Guitar on it.What more could you ask for? Well, other than Bobby Dall and Rikki Rockett! Rikki is the man on the drums in the song "The Last Breath" and one killer song at that. If you don't have this CD.. It's A MUST! BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT and I MEAN BUY IT!

This album just goes to show that the rock and rock legend lives on! People think that bands like this automatically suck because they are not the flavor of the week but this is the real deal! This album is unexpectly GREAT! It is a well written album with EXCELLENT songs! Bret Michaels pulls all the goods out for this long awaited album!--Enjoy--
