5.0 out of 5 stars From slow speed beginning to mega-overdrive !!, April 23, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Letter from Hell (Paperback)
I'm always fond of stories who start in a particular way, but change without noticing it and before you know it you're in a completely new world. While I was reading the book I could not help to think of the movie "From dusk till dawn". Alltough the story is not as bloody as the movie, the plot changing took me at surprise.( wich I like ) ( Funny too )

5.0 out of 5 stars The most beautiful vision of Hell I have ever read, March 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Letter from Hell (Paperback)
This book kept my interest from the beginning. I had to read it straight through because I couldn't wait to see how it ended. It would make a great film as it is strange and very original, not to mention entertaining. It made me reflect on life, death and the many "ifs" concerning the hereafter. It was full of fantasy, especially the story told by the protagonist to his 7 year old son in the beginning of the book. This is a book I think many people from diverse walks of life may enjoy. Despite it's Dantesque inspiration, it is not intellectually over-loaded. I reccomend you read it in one or two sittings, preferably while listening to the sound track CD (also on amazon.com). You'll be satiated without indigestion. You will also find yourself smiling at certain points. A very good book.
