I agree with previous reviewer - unfortunately I did not read that review before ordering. These are pretty much useless - I threw them away the day they arrived. the knife edge is so dull and misplaced that the device really is just tearing your mail open - a butter knife would work better

I've used these types of razor letter openers before with reasonable success. But this one is pathetic. Maybe it's the angle of the razor or the tilt of the hand, but this opener has ripped and torn through about 90% of my mail.
