Letters to Anyone and Everyone is a wonderful book for all ages. Everything about it is adorable. The plot line is genius. Letters are written back and forth between all the animals of the forest, and anything can receive and write letters( the sun, the desk, the letters themselves). This book has a taste of Winnie the Pooh in it, but with a very creative take on it. You will find yourselves falling in love with The Squirrel, who wonders about inanimate objects, The Elephant who just can't keep his balance, The Ant who swears he will go on a journey and never return, The Mole who is lonely enough to write letters to himself, The Bear who just wants to eat cakes and many other amazing characters. I can't wait to pick up Squirrel's Birthday and Other Parties, and neither will you if you read Letters to Anyone and Everyone. Whether you're five of twenty-five, you will find yourself rereading this book multiple times.

Toon Tellegen's letters from animal to animal mirror all human feelings and questions about life, beyond thinking - no matter if you are 8 or 50 or 80. Creating the most wonderful pictures in your head, touching, always with a smile. A wonderful edition, too! And a really good translation.

Love,love,love! Yet another book (like Today I Will: A Year of Quotes, Notes, and Promises to Myself and Mud Pies and Other Recipes: A Cookbook for Dolls) that I ordered for school and now have to run out and buy a copy for home. Can't wait to share this one with my kids. Every time I read a different story I thought, "Well this is my favorite." Then I'd read the next one and love it, too. You can't help but love the amazing little characters and their situations - the mole who writes letters to himself because he's lonely, the elephant who keeps climbing and falling from trees, the cake-crazy bear. And, most of all, I love that the stories started out as bedtime stories for Tellegen's children.
