More About the Author

Growing up in Minneapolis and attending the U of MN, I learned to love city life, although I'm a woodsy girl at heart. Or maybe I'm an adventurer -- having lived and traveled all over the world, including Siberia Russia as a missionary for eight years. Probably that's why my characters can't sit still, and seem to get into one scrape after another -- they're too much like me! I love God, my family, my country, my church, and feel privileged every day to be able to write stories, that I hope inspire and entertain!

5.0 out of 5 stars rich descriptions and characterizations with unique plot, March 8, 2009
This review is from: Letters from the Enemy (South Dakota Brides Series #1) (Heartsong Presents #576) (Mass Market Paperback)
This novel sets itself apart from the other two in the same series in that it is of a higher quality, in my opinion. (I still liked the others, just not as much as this one.) In contrast to the other two novels, the author is so skilled at writing descriptions that I actually was transported to another time and place. In addition, I'm grateful for the unusual plot. This would be a great story line for a Hallmark Channel movie. The character development is rich and authentic, as well. I forgot I was reading a romance novel due to the lack of typical phrases used in romance novels. (e.g. "He closed the distance between them," "A smile played on her lips", etc.) The presentation of the gospel was a natural and critical part of the plot. I found it refreshing that the spiritual leader was a man.

I am searching for more books by this author.
