The perfect gift for fathers! What great insight into the often complicated yet so deeply defining relationships between fathers and daughters. Lovingly compiled, this book is a wondrous source of healing and self-recognition on many levels for both men and women. Pure pleasure to read: I am looking forward to more.

This book is beautiful, emotional, all the things the other reviewers said. You can't start a letter without being completely drawn in. You get to hear these womens' stories on such an intimate level, some painful and some uplifting. It would be an excellent gift for a father or daughter. You will be moved!

Life changing true stories!,
This review is from: Letters to Fathers from Daughters (Paperback)
I was very moved reading the stories women wrote about their fathers, their relationships, their thoughts. It was touching to read both the hard as well as the easy connections people have had - something to be learned from both. I loved the variety of perspectives, levels of forgiveness, and honesty. There is so much room for interpretation in these accounts and I hope many more people will read this as well as contribute to the upcoming versions about different family relationships.

Here goes: This is a great book! I started reading the book you and Bonnie wrote and WOW it totally blew me away - resonating with me on many levels. I thought of all the women relationships in my life and many other people. It literally brought tears. I must now order copies for family, friends. Great idea for "Fathers Day". A book certainly in time for both women and men, A prerequisite for any father to be. We live in a culture were it seems we lack good positive strong male role modeling. Reading letters from daughters in this book gives insight to how powerful an influence we have on our daughters and the kind of people they will grow up to be. As I sat reading I was watching my daughter of 11 years playing by the waters edge. She would look up and smile (still my baby girl). How sweet life can be at times. Just looking at her in awe and thinking how blessed I am that she chose me as her "father". Kudos and thanks to all the courageous Daughters who elegantly shared their stores. I cannot wait to read the next book - Letters from Sons to Fathers. Steve Black, Easthampton,Ma.

If you open to any letter in this book and start reading, you will be grabbed and pulled in. It is deeply touching. Feelings may run the gammut from 'glad that wasn't me' to 'I wish my dad was like that'. In between letters are fantastic quotes giving you a refresher and a breather that in some cases you really appreciate. It flows well is is organized in an interesting manner. The letters and quotes are definitely thought provoking.

This is one of the best books I have ever read regarding the relationship between fathers and daughters. I gained insight as to how my own daughter views her life with me through the eyes of other daughters. It has clear insight into one of the biggest mysteries I have encountered. What is my daughter needing/wanting. This book will give insight into this question. Put together in a wonderful way, the letters show the heart of our daughters.
