Amazing book...what better way to get into Plaths head then reading her own personal and private words written to her mother. Any Plath fan will enjoy this book.

I have never read other peoples personal letters, but this book was the exception. It traces Sylvia through her college, friends, romances, marriage, births of children, and her marriage break-up. Sylvia sent Poems to her mother which she helped her get published for which she received payment for them. Not all her letters are honest. Sylvia puts up a false front I guess to spare her mother a lot of her personal problems.
I enjoyed the book and it showed me a facet of Sylvia Plath I otherwise would never have known. If Sylvia could have been more open maybe she would be alive today.
