5.0 out of 5 stars The Wonderful Man Behind the Novels, December 26, 2004
This review is from: Letters of Victor Hugo from Exile, and after the Fall of the Empire, The (Paperback)
As an admirer of Victor Hugo's famous novels, Les Miserables and Notre Dame de Paris, I have now come to have an affinity for the man behind the epic novels and the grandoise talent throughout his works. Reading his letters gives u a glimpse into the writer's thoughts, and also gives a glimpse of his exile, his friends and family, and the events that happened in his life from exile. It's quite an interesting read. You have to be a fan or admirer of Victor Hugo to actually get something out of this book. But i recommend it to people who are interested in Victor Hugo. I also recommend Les Mis and Toilers of the Sea.
