These letters provide great insight into the mind of the Father of American Psychology. This volume contains a letters written to a variety of friends and family with some introductions by the editor that provide some context. I found particularly interesting the letters written by James during his travels abroad to South American and Europe that chronicle a remarkable degree of self-awareness and insight during his intellectual development.
