Lecturer and popular author Williamson (A Woman's Worth, Audio Reviews, LJ 6/1/93) bases her talks on A Course in Miracles but mixes in tenets from Christianity, Judaism, Eastern religions, and her own experience. These four tapes are based on lectures she has given to packed houses around the country. "Letting Go and Becoming" deals with getting rid of thought processes and ideas that weigh one down; "Spiritual Victory/The Power of Forgiveness" is about truly forgiving and getting in touch with one's true purpose for living; in "Balancing Masculine and Feminine," Williamson discusses achieving a psychological balance between male and female thought and behavior patterns both within the individual and between the sexes; and finally there is "Unlimited Power and Possibilities for Change." Here Williamson counsels releasing fear-based thinking and replacing it with thoughts and actions predicated on a loving relationship with oneself, one's fellows, and the world. Bestselling author Marianne Williamson has translated and popularized A Course in Miracles and includes other ideas from Christianity, Judaism, and other religions, along with her own spiritual experiences in this live seminar. Some of the main ideas here include forgiving yourself and others, getting in touch with one's true purpose for living, achieving a balance between male and female thought and behavior patterns. Her rapid, authoritative voice adds compulsion and determination.

I have listened to this series over and over and I absolutely enjoy it more and more each time. I know of no one who so perfectly expresses our purpose on this earth and so honestly shares her journey to this understanding. She uses perfect wit and humility to give us all the secrets to happiness and success on our journey. I enjoy all of her books and tapes but this particular one I treasure above all the others.

Marrianne Williamson's work is both real and honest. Rather than couch things in a concepts that are alien or extremely religious, she talks to you about the realities of existing. Of how things will not always be easy, about how you will lose your way, and honestly how to see people clearly. Growth is messy, it's not neat, maturity is not easy, nor is spirtiuality delicate work, but with assistance from a tape like this you can see yourself clearly and how to bridge yourself from concept to human to spiritual being.
