In 1982, the Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg, summarized his thesis before an audience of nearly 2,700 at Avery Fischer Hall in New York City: the entire German policy for the physical destruction of the Jews was to be explained by mind reading! No document attesting to this criminal policy could be found, because no such document existed. For several years, the entire German bureaucratic machinery operated through a kind of telepathy. As Hilberg put it:

"But what began in 1941 was a process of destruction not planned in advance, not organized centrally by any agency. There was no blueprint and there was no budget for destructive measures. They [these measures] were taken step by step, one step at a time. Thus came about not so much a plan being carried out, but an incredible meeting of minds, a consensus -- mind reading by a far-flung bureaucracy."

Let me note again those final words: "an incredible meeting of minds, a consensus -- mind reading by a far-flung bureaucracy." AMAZING!

With his first report Fred Leuchter rocked the world like no one else since Galileo. It would be quite impossible for me to over-emphasize how far it was from my intention to dispute the usually accepted stories about WW II when I began to examine that conflict. What possible motive could I have had? But I began to read and ask questions and -- to paraphrase Dr. Arthur Butz, 'you really can't get very far into the exterminationist story without encountering the most rediculous absurdities and contradictions'. Fred Leuchter was even meticulous enough to examine the crematory facilities at the camps. After all, 'witnesses' certainly focused on them. At one point I thought that I could see for myself whether Leuchter was right when he provided estimates of the camps' crematory capabilities. I phoned a crematorium. I asked how fast they could handle a "rush order". The answer was not less than six hours (the remains, they pointed out, would require nearly half that time just to cool to the point where they could be handled). Maybe the German ovens didn't get quite so hot -- but then the cremation would've taken longer.

Leuchter's subsequent reports add new detail and perspectives. Germar Rudolf's report provides expert chemical analysis to corroberate Leuchter (and to rectify some very minor errors). This critical edition brings together the combined scholarship of three revisionist titans. It is *essential* reading for any student of history. The historian after all is not only permitted to rewrite history when the received knowledge is incorrect, he is positively obliged to do so. We are indebted to Leuchter, Rudolf, and Faurisson for their integrity and courage. It is time to write the complete history of WW II as history *should* be written, i.e., objectively.

It's very, very simple why the Leuchter Report is not scientifically credible. Mr. Leuchter (with no training in chemistry or any other science) was searching for evidence with no understanding of what the evidence meant. He thought that if he could show that there was no cyanide gas to be found on the walls of the alleged Auschwitz gas chambers 40 plus years after the Holocaust, that this would mean that these alleged gas chambers were not gas chambers at all. Even if it were possible that cyanide gas could be found on those walls decades later, it could only be found on the surface of the walls. But he tested large chunks of the walls for cyanide gas, thus diluting the wall samples thousands of times. Quite simply, he designed a scientific study that was sure to fail, that was sure to show what he wanted it to show, but it was a study that did not test what he was supposed to test. His analysis was not unlike if a scientist were to take samples of air in a house to determine if there is mold in the attic. You aren't going to trace mold in the attic, even if it's there, by just testing the air in that house. You have to go straight to the attic and only test where the mold could be. In his case, his test was even more unlikely to find evidence of cyanide gas in the alleged Auschwitz gas chambers because of the long passage of time and the deterioration of the structures.

This all goes to the basic concept of scientific validity. You can design a study to get any result you want, but the most important question of all is whether or not you have actually tested the right evidence to make conclusions about the thing you are interested in learning. Leuchter didn't understand what he was testing and therefore his tests did not prove what he thought they proved. The people who believe the Leuchter report is meaningful only do so because they already believe the Holocaust is not real. They are blinded by that belief and are unable to see the flaws in the science. To be more personal, it also is pretty clear that people who believe the Holocaust is a hoax have a void in their intellectual capacities. They are unable to understand the significance of the mountains of evidence showing that the Holocaust happened (including visual evidence and firsthand corroborating witnesses) and that about 6 million Jews were killed. Indeed, we have better evidence for the Holocaust that we have for many accepted historical incidents. The people who trust a very small minority of "experts" (who are not really experts) instead of a huge consensus of real experts from the fields of science, history, and eyewitnesses are clearly misguided in the warped sense of pride they have for counterintuitive critical thinking about so clearly proven historitcal events.

...the anti-semites, I mean. I saw this book in English in Spain a couple years ago, but I didn't buy it and I don't want to review it, to explicate it, to refute it. You may feel free to regard me as having a closed mind about Holocaust deniers, but I've spent many days with people who survived it and people whose loved ones didn't. Life is too beautiful to waste on sub-humans like those who pretend to know enough to praise this swill.
I'm posting this review just to call attention to people who need to be shamed, particularly the smirking Mr. Robert Williams, who spoiled my mood this morning by posting an anti-semitic comment on a review of Renaissance sacred music by Mike Birman, one of the most humane and gentle voices on amazon. Mr. Williams has reviewed this book enthusiastically.

The simple fact is that this book is written by a man who has no background in Chemistry. Deborah Lipstadt, among others, has demonstrated how and why these so-called "reports" are not worth the paper they are written on. Ultimately, what the Holocaust deniers won't tell you, is that Leuchter was not accepted by the Canadian court as an "expert witness" because 1) he lied about his credentials and 2) he had no expertise in chemistry or gas chambers. Deniers claims can _sound_ convincing to the average person with no knowledge of the Holocaust because they appear to be academic in their use of sources. In reality, sources are twisted and quoted out of context, spurious "science" (in Leucter's case, not accepted by REAL chemists) is deployed and eyewitnesses are claimed to be suspect because they are Jewish -- oh wait, we are speaking openly? -- because they are unreliable. These folks claim to be free of hatred -- in public at least. If you want to waste your time reading these reports, go ahead. At least they are more legible and coherent than _Mein Kampf_, though the ultimate intent is the same. And if you do read this or other revisionist websites, do yourself another favor and read some REAL holocaust research.

Just because a bunch of clowns CLAIM that "THEY" (who are "THEY" anyway?) have "no answer" to this evidence does not make it so. For example, I claim Leuchter has a Banana for a brain -- ha, let's see you disprove that. I have never heard him or anyone deny it. MRI or XRAY scan you say? Ha, those are either forgeries or faulty science. See, you have NO ANSWER FOR ME. This is the level that these clowns operate on.

It was CO and not cyanide they used. Cyanide was used at first but became too cost prohibitive and they switched to carbon monoxide. Just thought I'd mention it, cuz it's bugging me..
