These Leupold 10X42 Mojave binos are the best I've ever looked through (including some very nice European glass).

As a user and fan of Leupold VX-III scopes on my rifles, I expected great things from these binoculars. I'm pleased to say that Leupold lived up to their name and my expectations with these Binoculars.
The clarity and sharpness of the field of view is crisp, clear and bright, throughout the field of view, even to the edges where other optics fail. The diopter adjustment is intuitive, and securely locked when adjusted, unlike eyepiece adjusters that tend to shift on a pickup seat or when rubbed against the inside of a coat.
The focus wheel turns easily and without any slop.
Did I mention how clear, bright and crisp these are?
The eyepiece cover protects the eyepieces from rain, snow, and falling bits of peanut butter from your sandwich.
The individual big end covers are a nice bonus, as my previous binoculars had a clunky one piece arrangement that got set aside and then lost.
Did I mention how bright, crisp and clear these are?
I am able to focus on anything from 8' away to infinity, which is handy for reading equipment data tags I can't get to without a ladder.
Really, really nice glass, at a real value.
Two things I plan to add, though. A neck strap doesn't work for me on a long day of hunting and hiking. I will buy a bino buddy or similar harness. Second, for riding around in a truck, falling off the seat, falling out the truck door, etc, the provided foam pouch leaves room for improvement. I'll be looking for a more substantial case.
Minor details that are really best left to the individual.
Did I mention how clear and bright they are?

Best part is, they are backed by Leupold's Legendary reputation and customer service. You can't go wrong.

Bought these to replace a rather bulky, older pair that I had used previously for about 10 years and I was impressed at the anti-fog ability and clarity of vision. Used them in Colorado for Elk hunting and they could not have performed better. They worked great in the lower fields as they did in the snowy high country. Used with a quick release harness and could not have asked for more. They were as easy to use with gloves as they were with bare hands. Field of vision was large enough to find objects even when higher magnification.

The crispness of these binoculars is almost surreal -- I've looked through my share of binocs, and these are beyond any I've ever seen. It's like the difference between SD and HD TV. You'll be spoiled by them and all others will seem crappy.

I favor Leupold for their Rifle scopes, both for their high quality optics and their excellent design, the fact that they are designed and built in the USA was appreciated, but these binoculars are manufactured in Japan and I was a bit hesitant. There was no need for my concerns, these binoculars are quality imports and I was pleased that Leupold's reputation for quality was proven true for the BX-3 Mojave 10x42mm binoculars. The optics are excellent with no color distortion. The optics are bright, even in low light. The ability too extend or retract the eyepiece cups let me use these binoculars with or without my eyeglasses. Their size is remarkable for the performance and the fact that they are waterproof was a huge plus for me. I use the binoculars for bird watching with my wife and the ability to focus only 8 feet away is great. I also use the binoculars when at the rifle range where the quality of the binoculars shines letting me see small bullet holes at 100 yards. I use Leupold Quick-Detach Binocular Harness rather than the strap that came with the binoculars, which allows secure use of the binoculars without the danger of dropping my expensive, at least expensive to me, binoculars.

I bought this binocular in June 2010. Since then I have taken it to Africa eleven times. On my last safari in Zimbabwe, right lens would not focus. I sent it back to Leupold for repair. I received it back this morning and to my great surprise, Leupold did nit fix it. Instead, they have given me a brand new one to replace the old one I sent in.

Amazing!

I first used Leupold optics while in the Marine Corps and loved them from the start. These binoculars are solid product for the money you are spending. I used them hunting this year and they came in very handy in low light conditions allowing me to track a nice buck I was later able to take. The only issue I have with the BX-3's are the plastic clips that allow you to take the neck strap off, they feel cheap and easily breakable.

These Leupold 10X42 Mojave binos are the best I've ever looked through (including some very nice European glass). They have similar quality performance of my beloved BX-2's...bright, very sharp with great resolution, excellent color and detailed low light vision, all with Edge to Edge clarity and great build quality. However, the BX-3's have additional silver enhanced coated roof prisms and in direct comparison, the BX-3's optics step it up a notch in every aspect, especially with their wider FOV over my BX-2's (>60ft)! This wider FOV creates a flatter image, has a deeper, more 3-D like DOF and greater eye relief with less eye fatigue that leads to easier sustained long term viewing. They are very easy to hold and have the lockable diopter adjustment set in the large focus control...Nice. With their light weight and ergonomic compact size, these appear to be the valued "sweet spot" in the Leupold binocular line up, becoming my go to optics for the range and hunting!

I'll be passing my nice BX-2's down to my youngest son, but see these BX-3's staying in my gear bag for a Long Time to Come!
