This was truly a cd jammed with memories! It doesn't matter if you were an occassional PG person or an honest to goodness die hard PG member! this CD brought back many wonderful, spirtual and amazing memories! "If only Larry was still around" you'll ask after listening. He was and is truly the worlds most amazing DJ!! We'll never see or feel anything like it ever again. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to bear witness!!! to his talent & genius!!! Highly recommend this CD for the serious dancer in all of us!

This compilation is one of the VERY few that feature the full length version of Jocelyn Brown's Garage classic "Make It Last Forever." EVERYTIME I hear the first few bars of that song I go back to Paradise...and remember hearing the song while up on the roof watching the sun come up. I would always head toward the floor, because Larry would work this song...gonna make it last forever!!! An essential Larry Levan classic!!!!!!!!!!

Larry's remix of How High and the previously unreleased Make It Last Forever are worth ten times the price of this CD. Both of these songs are absolutely essential if you want to understand or remember what the Garage was all about.

this cd had built up so much anticipation,i worried it wouldfall below everyone's expectations.but what a glorious night in 1979this turns out to be.all the elements are here that larry wasfamous for-taking older tracks(like "funk train" and "erucu")and seamlessly mixing them in withcurrent hits and future hits(howdid he ever get a copy of change's"angel in my pocket" that far in advance?)and of course it worksperfectly.i love the way he mixesin a snippet or a whisper of anupcoming song-teasing the listenerof what's coming next.the problemfor me was when the last song fadedout,i felt this immense sadness that it was over-and my fear of howlong it will be before i can hearanother night of larry's magic.what a wonderful gift this is todance music fans-besides being ahistorical document of a magicnight and the greatest dj ever.

Hard to find tracks especially Make It Last Forever - Jocelyn Brown. Beautifully 20-bit remastered.

If you want to know where House got its sound and how it all got started this CD is required listening. Original House is basically DISCO. Everyone who calls themselves DJs should have ANY AND ALL of Larry Levan's music available because without Him neither Paradise Garage NOR HOUSE music and it's many subgenres (GARAGE Music being one and owes its NAME to the legendary club)would have been what they were. His music selections were not just TOP 40 songs or the garrish POP MUSIC format that has infested modern music today.The songs were better yet the description of the Soul Of A Man. How many DJs TRULY do it like Larry Levan did? I doubt you will find any no matter how good these Djs out here are now there had to be one to pave the way for all the rest.Larry Levan was that one. Buy this CD if you don't have it!!!!

Larry Levan snd Salsoul?? How much more can be said other than of corse this is classic by all means. If you're new to deep disco then this is a great place to start your collection. For those of u who already know this nothing more can be said. MUAHH
